He leads the team in PPP as PnR ball-handler.

Khris runs PnR to get himself a pull up which is his best shot. He almost never threatens to turn the corner, has no ability to dribble in traffic, and lacks nuance. But he is very good at pulling up while dribbling around a ball screen. But we need someone who can actually run the PnR at an advanced level and isn’t only a threat to pull up.

I'd rather get a guy who can score off the bounce. This system utilizes PnR far less frequently than most teams, there's enough able players to handle that limited responsibility (Bledsoe, Hill, Midds).

There was a time when only a few would dare say these things. Now I login to see a dozen posters articulating intelligent points about Middleton's ineptitude.

Well done, my children.

We use PnR less partially because we dont have anyone worth putting the ball into their hands and because we are sorta dumb sometimes and Bud is stubborn. We should be running it more. Bledsoe and Midds aren’t good enough though, Bledsoe lacks feel and can’t reliably shoot off it and Middleton can shoot, but can’t threaten the rim because of his handle. Hill is the only guy who is a truly reliable PnR handler.

As far as a guy who can score off the bounce? A good PnR handler does give you that typically, but what player are you imagining who can score off the bounce but isnt able to be a PnR handler that would be actually worthwhile for us? I can’t think of a single player honestly aside from freaking Derozan or some junk, or the they’re total pipe dreams because they are star caliber and have a much larger skill set than just off the dribble attacking.

Even with all his warts I think we missed him way more than the record shows. Nice for the young dudes and Wes to step up but good to have him back.

Stop with the evidence counsel, it's devastating to their case.

Or maybe, something that is extremely nuanced like ball screen play can’t be summarized in one single stat. Its like people find a somewhat relevant non traditional box score stat and think they’re basketball geniuses or something when they reference it, as if it’s infallible.

Would rather keep Wes in the SL and have Donte have a little more offensive freedom with the second unit. Getting him comfortable with responsibility could take his game to another level. We'll need that when it matters.

He needs reps reading defensive coverages for sure. Great instincts but he’s still green. I’d start him though because I think his energy level and defensive ability helps get us a ton of easy buckets when Giannis is playing. We are just too slow when we roll out Wes/Khris/Brook, our pace is high because of shooting quickly, but the actual up and down tempo of the game isn’t on the same level as it is when we play DDV.

Honestly the first time I realised we miss him was when Giannis said it's been really hard on everybody trying to fill his gap and he can't wait to have him back. And it really didin't sound like polite Giannis saying the right thing, it sounded genuine.

7-2 with him. 7-0 without him. You can't argue math.

Speaking of math, we're 14-3. Something doesn't add up here.

1+1 but both of my 1s are middle fingers.

Are people really arguing that Middleton doesn't make this team much better? Our second creator is Bledsoe without him...

A bit torn because I think Wes at the 3 is best. We kind of have two lineups that make sense with Bled-Sterling-Khris-Giannis-Brook and Hill-Donte-Wes-Ersan-Robin. But really you can but anybody in that starting 2 spot and it'll be fine.

It’d be cool to see us experiment with some small ball once Midds is back. Would be interesting to see some Giannis, Midds, Bled/Hill, Wes/Donte type lineups.
