Steve Novak kept his job. Milwaukee is a terrible city, confirmed.

Novak should be canned because he's bad at his job, and a douchebag.

Sid was fun-bad. Novak…isn’t.

No way. Sid the Kid was so bad he had unintentional comedy. Novak can't even luck his way into jokes - he is a desert of humor and personality.

Top tier Dbag I remember cheering against him in the sectional final game when they played New Berlin west way back in the day.

I remember moncrief being laughably bad, but don't remember a thing about him. Anyone recall any specific things about him that was so bad?

Don’t know where to put this so I’ll put it here lol. Jim Owczarski is a panelist for the NBA Top 75 Greatest players thing that’s happening and his 75 is one of the most hilarious basketball lists I’ve ever seen.

Man has Westbrook 17th all time, above the likes of Dirk, Jerry West, Moses Malone, Dr. J.

Durant is 6th all time, above Kareem (8th), Tim Duncan (12th), Bill Russell (13th).

Dr. J and Charles Barkley are in the **** 40s lmao.

Football guy trying to cover the Bucks has been a disaster from the get-go. He also has no idea how to phrase a question before he asks anything. Just goes out there and fumbles through a minute long schpeel. It's become a pet peeve of mine lmao.

True story, the Milwaukee Journal used to be one of the birthing grounds for great sports journalists. Cohen, Begel, Salituro, Aschburner, Van Sickle, McGinn, Wolfley, etc. I’d put Haudricourt and Silverstein in there as the only two left as best I can tell.

But what’s happened is the complete bottom dropping out of their ad revenue over the past 20 years with the advent of the internet. So they basically fill chairs, with more of their chairs continuing to disappear with each passing year. They can’t afford to hire anyone good. Few local papers can.

Yeah it's pretty bizarre. He's marketable to the rest of the world outside the states and didn't go to college so that may be the problem...

Ben Brust (Good Karma employee) is the new analyst for home games? Another dot to connect to the ‘Karmazin had Davis ousted’ theory.

Man, Ted and now Krause did not get the most ceremonious exits. Very odd. Loved Ted & Krause, thanks for the years with the team! Going to sound much different this year.

Newspaper business is in very bad shape in the US but back in the day if you worked at Journal for a long time and owned enough stock, even people working in the paper printing press room made enough money to send their kids to college and buy new cars every year. It was very hard for Chicago and New York papers to get highly successful Journal or Sentinel journalist to leave.

Agreed. Good point as I knew a couple guys in my father's generation who retired nicely with the stock. The old Journal corporation was a great company for the employees back in the day. Consolidation just ripped it apart, like most other industries.
