To be fair, Kidd took the Bucks from afterthought to 6 seed with very little bona fide NBA talent in his first year. He looked like a positive. It was the second year when he jettisoned the vets and brought in the trash that things started to go sideways. The evaluation of Kidd as a coach was always going to take 2-3 years. Obviously, if they win the championship this year, that's out the window, but if not, let's see how things are going in Dallas in 2024.

Fair enough. I didn't watch any of this round. He had a 7-1 assist ratio against the pelicans. Overall isn't his TS around 60% and around 18 PPG for the playoffs. Would kill for a guard that could hit a 3 today. Pauls not a great defender but he seems to have the annoying ability for key steals or flops.

I'm just sick of a stagnant offense and want a true PG with Giannis instead of rotating isos the whole time.

Like Embiid, at this point in his career, you have to get real lucky to have a healthy Paul through 4 series.

It also started to go sideways because the entire league figured his and Sweeney’s defense and he was both incapable of and unwilling to adapt. His offense was also archaic and devoid of spacing. Not to mention he was a total cancer in the locker room who played mind games with key players and took zero accountability for anything.

I think he’s genuinely learned from his mistakes though, I don’t think this Dallas season is a fluke the way his first year with the Bucks turned out to be.

Had we beat won game 7 vs Boston, the Suns losing game 7 would have put a decent sized dent in my optimism of us repeating.

How are people mystified by Harden's decline? He gained a bunch of weight trying to force a trade and ended up unable to take most of it off and with chronic hamstring issues. Just watch 2 minutes of his last full year with the Rockets. He was thin and quick.

Seems like all the teams with traditional centers have gone fishin' already. Not just us with Brook, but now Ayton, the "unplayable" Gobert, and others. Even Jokic, despite his playmaking ability, has some entries on the liability side of the new NBA ledger.

I'd do it, but I'm one of the few people who thinks this team gets better by moving Jrue to the 2-guard spot. Phoenix doesn't entertain this though.

CP3 is only going to get more unreliable down the stretch and is likely to be overpaid soon even with the non-guaranteed year.

But if we're only trading Brook/Grayson/Hill and some draft assets (what assets is a big variable) what else are we expecting to get in return?

Whether or not ownership would clear this kind of luxury tax spend would be a gigantic variable. I imagine we'd be letting 1 or both of Pat and Bobby walk after this at a baseline.
