I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

I really don't understand having Bobby and Kuzma on the same roster.

Unless you can tell us what specific offers were on the table that Horst turned down or what offers Horst put out there that other teams turned down, no one has a clue.

Well if the whole point of the first move is to do a second move and that doesn't happen, he needs an ass blasting.

I think the idea that the entire point of the first move was to make a second move is probably the issue. The Bucks most likely believe opening up the flexibility to make a second move was an added benefit of the first move, but the main point of the first move was probably to improve the team. You just don't think that was accomplished.

Also, why is everyone so concerned about the '31 first round pick? We'll recoup a boat load of 1st rounders when we eventually trade Dame and Giannis.

Because we will probably suck and that pick will be likely be Top 10?
ETA: For the record, i think it would be a horrible move to trade it for the organization, but I'm totally on-board of going all in and then I will take a decade long-break of NBA once we trade Giannis.

Why do you think we will suck in 30-31?

We'll have a real coach by then, Doc will be retired/fired.
Giannis will be 36. For comparison Lebron averaged 30/8/6 at age 36.
I don't see Giannis ever wanting to leave.

yea.......I dont have faith Giannis will be a top 10 player at 36. LBJ is on a whole different level of as a player and bball IQ. Just because the greatest player in NBA history was able to do it, doesn't mean it was replicable. (not to mention he was in LA with AD forcing his way there. No one is forcing their way to MKE to play with a 36 year old Giannis.

It sucks watching contenders able to make moves that help them without having to overpay. Either the league mandated some type of "Bucks tax" where we have to overpay in every deal as a way to get Giannis out of Milwaukee faster, or Jon Horst just **** down his pant leg the second he gets on a phone call to talk trades with other GM's.

Relatively uneventful day. Whatever, I'm ok with what has transpired but ultimate we were 2-3 years too late on Midds, Brook, Bobby, and Pat. Such is life. I will gladly tune in for the first game of the Kuzma era and pray to sweet baby Ray he isn't a total piece of poop.

Nope, Sabonis has really adjusted his game around the edges the last 2 years to change from empty stats to super productive winning basketball. Dame remains an empty stats scorer. Sabonis shots the 3 now too.

Yeah Sabonis is worth way more than Dame.

Only hope would be Vivek.

And I get Khris is probably cooked defensively, but if Kuzma was the target and all that's going to happen, I'd rather have stood pat and taken my chances on his health for one more post-season run while keeping the young player Horst just had to "swing for the fences" on. Imagine Hammond just punting on Giannis his rookie year. Johnson may never develop, but the process was so wonky.

It really must have required a first to dump Pat to get under the apron. And since we just have the coveted a million years out one they did what they did.
