Nurkic is a guy I'd like to target, although don't know if he's available or what it would take.

Do they take the Clippers 1st for him? Otherwise it would probably take something like Dudley.

I'm not even a big Jabari guy, but that trade looks to be influenced by crack cocaine.

What do we think it would take to get O'Quinn from the Magic?

If they hire Skiles midseason of course they won't be tanking. But either way they might not want to pay a back up (for them) starter-dollars if he's primed for a big deal this offseason.

This is an interesting one.

I really really like Jabari, and I have no idea if the Pistons are rebuilding or what, but the more I think about it the more tempted I am.

You're crazy. I wouldn't even do Jabari straight up for Drummond, let alone including 2 first round picks.

Nurkic is basically untouchable at this point. That ship has sailed.

Not doing Jabari for Drummond straight to me is nuts, and I love Jabari. Giannis/Drummond is the best PF/C duo in the league for a decade plus, and Drummond gives what we really, really need, and that's a glass eater. It doesn't matter either way, no chance we are trading Jabari, but in terms of league wide assets, Drummond is definitely ranked ahead of Parker.

I'm not against this idea, but can we afford Knight, Middleton, Giannis, Parker, and O'Quinn, especially with Sanders and Ersan on the books? I'm assuming you aren't viewing him as a rental. You clearly have to dump one, if not two of Ersan, Sanders, and Henson.

Yeah, we really can't target any outside guys that need extensions this summer, barring clearing a good portion of Mayo/Ilyasova/Sanders/Dudley/Bayless/Pachulia. That's assuming people are looking for the Bucks to work hard to bring back Middleton and/or Knight.

Thomas Robinson might be a good fit, low risk move. JOB + TPE for TRob might get it done.

not sure.. maybe they'll take henson :D

i think biyombo is a better defender than henson, he's got no offense tho. But his wingspan is insane at 7'7 for 6'9 guy, only 22 still..

You trade Jabari Parker and 2 first round pics to Detroit for Andre Drummond. Are biggest weakness as it stands now is rebounding. Add the leagues most dominant player on the boards and the Bucks could very well grab the 4th seed in this year's playoffs. Drummond is only 21 and is on his rookie salary next year before he becomes a restricted free agent the following year. Not sure Jabari and two picks is enough to make it happen but if would be enough why not?

I know this board loves Jabari and why not he seems to be a good kid. However he is now a great unknown. The bucks always seems to get the short end of the stick on these great unknowns. Example often injured Andrew Bogut. With Drummond you get a monster and your second core piece to go Giannis.

The final piece happens in the upcoming 2015 free agency. After resigning Brandon Knight and Kris Middleton, you throw whatever money you can spend on SG Wesley Mathews. Maybe something in 13 to 14 million range. Hopefully some or all Larry Sanders money is of the books. Wesley Mathews is the perfect fit in Milwaukee. He is a great 3-point shooter, a hustle player and team leader. He would be a fan favorite for sure with his roots being from both Madison and Marquette. He is one of the few young stars would probably give the Bucks a shot signing him especially is we are an upcoming team with Kidd coaching us. Adding Drummond would also help in that respect.
The Bucks need to increase attendance and with Mathews, Drummond, Giannis, Middleton, Knight and company this team would be exciting even to the average fan.

I know how much this board values pics. However we would be adding two young, proven players vs the great unknown. I say we are close now, why not take that next step.

2015 Roster would like this:
Brandon Knight
Wesley Mathews
Kris Middleton
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Andre Drummond

Jared Bayless
OJ Mayo
Jared Dudley
John Henson
Zaza Pachulia

Ersan Ilyasova
Damien Inglis

Well "why not" would be because we're getting completely hosed value wise. Im not a huge Drummond guy, he'll be a guy that will allways be a "if he could only put it all together consistently" kind of a guy imo, but I do respect the value bigs have in this league so Id say his value is right around Parkers in a strait up deal so adding not one but two firsts would be a joke and the fire Hammond bandwagon would start moving faster then the flash.

Also I would like to point out how how u add we seem to have bad luck with "great unkowns" as a reason to do this but then in the next breath mention Giannis ignoring that he's probably still the "greatest unkown" in the league in regards to what he'll end up becoming...... Just sayin.

Id also say that while I do like Mathews if we were to lock up both Knight and Middleton to deals, neither of which are going to be dirt cheap, it makes very little sense financially to lock into Mathews at 13 mill a year. All 3 combined would probably account for 35-38 million per year for christs sake

So yeah I cant really get behind any of this in any way but I guess I see what your tryin to do

Yeah I more meant a swap with the 2 major pieces being Jabari and Drummond. If we're giving up the farm we better be getting :lift: back

With how they fleeced us so bad in our last trade, they should give him to us.

I'm hoping we drop Mayo's and / or Ersan's salary before we'd extend Middleton and Knight (provided that happens) this Summer.

If we do that our books would be in better shape if we'd also be extending someone like Kanter / O'Quinn / Koufos.

Jabari for Drummond is probably close value wise today. Adding two firsts is ludicrous.

A healthy Joel Freeland could really help this team now & in the future.

Pistons would laugh the Bucks off the phone, and that's if we're including picks.
