It's weird that the Warriors announced their naming rights deal (Chase Center) a year before they broke ground, and their arena opens a year after the Bucks arena. Different market and I'm sure everyone was clamoring to be the Warriors arena sponsor, but still, the Bucks have dragged this out. They'll probably drag out the announcement for their annual block party like they do every year.

Seriously? That looks so cramped. Like you'd be able to smell the dude next you's balls.

Doesn't help that the Bucks were demanding a ridiculous price for naming rights.

Consider the Bay Area's sheer wealth, population (comparable to Chicagoland's, believe it or not) and the exposure offered by a world-championship organization and you understand why they got early & extensive corporate sponsorship.

They use $100 dollar bills to light fireplaces -- instead of cod or perch fish fry, they have Koi-fry.

Bonus question: Anyone know the Chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Chase, who sponsored the Warrior's arena ?

Jamie Dimon, who, of course, is not to be confused with Bucks co-owner Jamie Dinan.

Isn't it under 17k for the Bucks? Why wouldn't they be the same?

The Bucks haven't given an exact number but have said it would seat around 17,500
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

What are the chances the new arena brings back the best* live band in the NBA, Street Life?

Block party announcement almost seems inevitable.

Poor Warren Weigratz is going to show up at the empty BC lot once the building gets torn down and not know what to do with himself. He’ll just start roaming the streets of MKE tooting his sexy sax.

Typical Bucks. Do something unique and have a live band, but one that cycles through the same 5 songs. Every. Single. Game. Could’ve just recorded those songs and saved some $. If I hear “Fly Away” one more time...

Street Life single-handedly made me hate Lenny Kravitz.

Not sure if they are a favorite, but heard from a friend in the MKE business world that Kwik Trip has had a great deal of talks with the Bucks for the Arena naming deal. FWIW

They are only in WI, IA,and MN. Would only make sense if they were expanding.

You know at first I though, "no way" to Kwik Trip. But they do $4.5 billion in business annually-that's a lot of revenue. I know they have experienced rapid growth over the past eight years, so maybe it's not all that far fetched.

Exactly my reaction too. They are making big bucks, growing pretty quick and they have pretty big deals with the Packers and Brewers, so this might be legit.

Kwik Trip is a great company, but kind of weird they’d be interested unless they’re looking to grow nationally. Already have a cult/massive following in the Great Lakes region and didn’t know they really wanted to expand outside of that.

Interesting.
