Horst has done a great job with cap clearing trades. He even added value in Hill. He has given up little as possible cleared Hammond mistakes so I don't think he should be fired or anything.
On the other hand his drafting leaves a lot to be desired. There still plenty of time for DDV and DJ to improve. But just looking back at my draft crushes at time and I see missed opportunity. First Derrick White instead of Dj. This one is big imo. Dj was half between productive older player and young upside player. With White suddenly Bled becomes much more expendable. He is good defender and much better shooter. I also liked Ferguson as boom or bust guy. I think he has shown much improvement from his rookie year. Still like his upside.
Also Lonnie Walker instead of DDV. This is far from decided as both players basically missed last year due to injury. But Walker has a ceiling of difference maker. These are the guys e liked but there are many others who would raise the talent level of the team. Guys like Huerter or Collins. Hindsight is 20-20 of course. But so far his drafting is one thing I don't like. I could see both Dj and DDV becoming solid role players. I just think Horst should of been swinging for the fences.

John Collins was the no brainer pick but our brain trust at the time consisted of Kidd and Thorn so ill give Horst a pass on DJ. Horst worst move IMO was allowing Lasry in the war room and leaking our draft board which legit cost us a 1st round pick. I also wanted Lonnie Walker but im slowly becoming a fan of Donte I think he ends up having the better career of the two if both stay healthy.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about Dj being a Kidd guy. But DDV looks like a similar pick. Older but not a senior who's best play came in tournament. Again I prefer one side or the other a upperclassmen who has a history of elite production or a high up side freshman. I too like DDV his energy pops and he is very noticeable on the court. Just think Lonnie has triple threat scoring potential. I really like his off the dribble game. While what little I have seen lol. DDV has never shown the ability to finish at a elite level especially through contact. I believe his shot will start falling but I just struggle to see anything more than a solid rotation guy at the best. Perhaps a microwave 6th man which is valuable. Lot of time left but DDV has a long way to go. To me he isn't even good enough for steady minutes yet.
Bucks fandom bringing me happiness still seems like a dream.

I think DDV has the vision to dish when driving and sometimes not. That in itself is a major Benny.

I was kind of looking forward to seeing how we did without Bledsoe. Maybe a trial run to better inform a potential trade scenario involving his contract, but ill settle for watching him hassle Harden again.

Harden put in what I call his "Bucks" package this offseason. That ridiculous looking, right leaping, one legged step back was all about keeping The Bucks off of his left hand on the perimeter. We'll see if he has the guts to use it in an actual game.

I think Harden is butt hurt still over not getting the MVP. I wonder if he tries to make a statement tomorrow against us? I too am interested to see if our strategy of forcing him to his right continues to be effective. That one legged 3 to me is crazy but if he can somehow be efficient with it, it will be effective. I dare him to go to that often.

Giannis says if Bucks underperform, decision to stay in Milwaukee becomes 'a lot more difficult'

Giannis Antetokounmpo told a Harvard University professor that if the Milwaukee Bucks underperform this season, it would make his decision on whether to stick with the team "a lot more difficult."

The unusually pointed language from the team's superstar came in a spring 2019 interview with Anita Elberse, a Harvard Business School professor who was researching a case study on the Bucks' turnaround and the challenges a small-market NBA team faces in retaining a superstar-level player.

Antetokounmpo, who has emerged as one of the best players in basketball, likely will be eligible to sign a five-year, $253 million contract extension with the Bucks next summer, or to opt out and potentially become a free agent in 2021.

"I want the Bucks to build a winning culture," Elberse and her co-author, master's student Melcolm Ruffin, quoted Antetokounmpo as saying. "So far, we have been doing great, and, if this lasts, there's no other place I want to be. But if we're underperforming in the NBA next year, deciding whether to sign becomes a lot more difficult."

Well, to be fair, if the team is underperforming next year, it's probably Giannis' fault.

Or Bledsoe slowed a step, Middleton gets a little lazier, Hill remembers he is 80, and Blopez cant offset his slowness with his bigness anymore.

Also note that interview was done in spring, could've been before the ECF run.

This is only news if what he means by "underperforming", is anything less than a championship.

The media calls anything that will get them clicks/views "news"...I honestly pay little attention to any of this and it's only going to get worse moving forward.
