Not to mention bad teams even have these random ass god moments where they just break a tackle and house it (even like a 75 overall player).

I've resigned myself to basically never playing press coverage outside of goal-line situations because it's so common to have the corners (specifically the outside corners) just stand still off the snap and let WRs run right by them if you have them in press. Even if they're not in press, it'll happen every once in awhile, but it seems far less likely to happen. My issues with the defense have mostly gone away now as I seem to have finally settled on some decent sliders but the gameplay definitely isn't perfect. Having a lot of fun still though and am now up over 200 hours played.

Can you share your sliders? I'd be interested in giving it another go.

Got into BG3 this weekend and I'm enjoying it a lot. Still leaning on guides more than I'd like. I can't really bring myself to let go of the training wheels or let rolls I don't like stand.

But I also found my 3DS in a drawer so I charged the battery and fired it up. Last time I got the bug for the 3DS I jailbroke it and was just reminded that folks, it shouldn't be this easy to pirate the **** out of video games.

I'll get back to you later tonight or tomorrow morning. I had a screenshot of it a little while ago but I definitely made some updates since then.

I might just be out on Veilguard. Think it's turning into more of a wait and watch, which freaking sucks.

But I guess I'll turn my excitement to one of my other favorite game worlds, Eora. Avowed looks improved and more interesting with each subsequent showcase, and the story picking-up following the events of Pillars 2 is so great.

I feel like running into the kicker is one of their methods of keeping the games close. It was happening almost once a game for me when I was first starting out and figuring things out.

LOL… I can’t tell you how many times I played perfect D yet didn’t get a stop till my 3rd or 4th drive, only for the computer to get a cheap first down on a “roughing the kicker.” It happened at least 30 times in the three week span I played a lot. I played a season and a half as Navy, and had 30+ roughing the kicker penalties. Great job, EA Sports.

Road to Glory has been a real pain in the ass. I'm a HB. Won my positional battles and earned the HB1 designation as a freshman. And yet, multiple times a season since then, I get randomly dropped to HB3 despite putting up top numbers and having more than enough XP. This forces me to reengage in positional battles over several weeks to get back to HB1, effectively costing me a meaningful chance at a Heisman run. I also find my ratings take forever to improve as well.

I feel in recent years with Madden I’ve resorted to sliders (often from various users on Operation Sports) to often and been less happy with the games. I opted this year to play default and treat it more as a game than a sim, as there’s just no way for it to ever be a sim as we truly would like. I’m personally having a blast with CFB, though I am at a point I feel I may lower interceptions for both user/cpu. Overall I really enjoy the game, perfect no but it’s fun and has held my interest far longer than any football title in the last 5+ years. What I like most expecially at higher difficulties is the CPU will really take advantage of you if you just do stupid things, adjusting your blocking presnap, shell coverages etc they help a ton but can also cost you, it’s a fun cat and mouse game.
Coverages at time get a bit weird though, the game is very offensive based but that’s college in a nutshell. Still frustrating though when a corner or safety can be right near a guy or ball and just kind of ignore it but then will come back and make one the most insane breaks ever.
CFB had me really excited for madden, expecially based on what I experienced in the beta for madden. The launch of madden isnt what we played during beta though. I have no clue at all what happened to zone defense, guys just drop and kind of let everything happen in front of them rather than guarding anybody who enters their zone. Really hope it can be fixed in the first title update because thus far I’ve had a blast with football games this year even if not perfect. It’s been a fun experience with CFB.

I’ve probably played more CFB than I have any madden combined in the last 5 years. Sports titles in general, primarily all I ever played growing up just have not captured my attention in the last decade or more. It’s also been fun to share/play CFB with my 2 boys, who did not experience NCAA 14 back in the day but had been playing CFB Revamped waiting for a college title to release.

Amazing game, I sunk 150 hours into it before completing the story and enjoying it every step of the way. Entirety of Act 2 is a triumph for gaming, it's perfect. Enjoy. I also looked up guides when I was stuck so don't feel too bad

I was a barbarian and would normally just intimidate people to get my way  Nothing is good or bad exactly, it's just how you want to play the game.I usually would just live with the bad rolls and roll with the punches, choosing when to use your rerolls can be important. Different combos of 4 can work better than others. My barb was decked out by the end, was really strong but I also had to micromanage the other 3 in my party. Lae'zel (Fighter) was REALLY strong I remember once I got her some items/levels.

My 9 year old 65" Samsung TV is starting to bite the dust. Anyone have a recommendation for a 75" smart TV under $1,000? I don't want a nice one because this goes in my living room and only my kids/wife use it. When we move I'll get an 85" for the basement that's super nice. Just need smart TV functionality that is quick and has access to the main streaming apps (Hulu, YouTube, Disney+, Netflix). A bonus is acess to Peacock and Paramount+.

Love my TCL with Roku, Google TV seems pretty nice. I'll probably pick that bad boy up sometime this week. And it's only $499 at Target/Best Buy!

I love my tcl sets too. I wonder if for $648 the QLED version is worth getting. I too am looking at this 75 inch tcl lineup myself for the family living room.

I am also in need of a new 55 inch for my ps5 and sports viewing area.
