Embiid missed another rebound, Serbia got an open 3 & missed, then the US scored in transition. That was the killer for Serbia.

They scored 6 points on that possession. Durant trey, US given the inbound, Booker trey. And Jokic was then one foul away from being tossed.

KD is really just a 7 foot Khris. It's unfair

That got the US back into it, but they still had a lot of work to do. What, was Serbia still up 8 or so?

The one I'm talking about was late, while the US had momentum, which could have virtually killed it. Instead they enjoy a 5-pt swing, keep it going, and end up winning by 4.

Serbia screwed up so bad there. Why on Earth would you wait so long to foul with a 2 second difference between the game and shot clock?

Yeah, that was definitely true - but I will say that Serbia just went to a zone Davis/Bam and it really **** the spacing of the offense up. Embiid was big enough to keep Jokic from backing in as easily and helped space the offense.

The defensive rebounding effort was hilarious, though.

And he doesn’t dribble off his foot 30% of the time in transition, huge plus.

Embiid is a weird fit but I think it worked out for USA today. Jokic was not able to get anything going while Embiid was in in the 4th

I still have a lot of criticisms for our east rival reps. Tatum's been played out the rotation, White & Jrue are a level below all the rest offensively, & Embiid was making a lot of losing plays. Joel made some winning plays too, but he was more along for the ride when he's getting beaten left & right to boards/loose balls, getting dominated in switches, over-dribbling into TO's etc.

I have serious skepticism either of their club teams can win titles if their opponents along the way are generally healthy.

Celtics will fold in a series if the talent level is close and they get punched in the mouth. They will eventually get tested

He looks like he can barely move but his size and skill obviously worked out today.

Yea was thinking why is Embiid in there and getting frustrated by his general unawareness and lack of effort on D/rebounding. But then he had taht huge offensive run in the middle of the 4th that was critical, so tough to come down on him too much

thank god jokic didn't show up in the 2nd half

if serbia won he would have been given his 4th MVP by the media before the gold medal game had even started

I find myself rooting for us to lose. I can’t stand that Embiid is on the team.

With the way Greece played, it's better he didn't. Just my opinion.

If Giannis had shooters like Jokic, yes.
