Year 5 Scottie Barnes isn't the centerpiece of a mega-deal for a star player anymore, no matter how many Raptors fans wanna gaslight people into thinking otherwise. What, the 9th pick in a 2-3 player draft, Gradey Dick, and just a bunch of their own future firsts? They have nothing else that a rebuilding team would covet.

Don't think I dont notice that hockey logo under your username Mr. closet Raps fan. San Antonio can blow away a Raptors offer and be an instant title contender. The Bucks could completely wipe out Toronto's cabinets, still not come close to what San Antonio can offer and they'd be a doormat team with Giannis and nothing else.

San Antonio can offer #2/Castle, plus a couple of interesting young players in Sochan and Vassell, plus plenty of Atlanta picks and their own.

Toronto can offer............a bunch of their own picks? And some significantly less interesting players.

#2 on a very hit n miss rookie sochsn n vassell fu... yuck never said i wanted torontos deal either .I aint trading giannis for garbage ( sochan n vassell) or torontos garbage.If giannis goes i want back 3 young above meh players who can move a needle all but slightly vassell/ sochan csnt do thst not in my opinion neither SA or tironto has such players.
Would rather get back 3 or 4 ²players than 3 or 4 unproven 1st round draft picks.

Of all the laughable stuff about Giannis this is the most hilarious. Raps are in the bottom 10 of what they can offer for Giannis. Maybe bottom 5.

But for fans of a franchise that has been garbage the last few years, if thinking about trading for Giannis gets them off have at it.

At this point I'm guessing even Haynes doesn't have a clue and was just relaying the Jim O. tidbit from weeks ago. Don't get me wrong, I always laughed off their attempts at steering the "Giannis is gonna ask for a trade" narrative for the past half decade, but these last few weeks have actually surprised me at just how completely full of **** every one of these guys are. They're no different than paid "social media influencers".

24hrs sports news media. They need to justify their jobs. They throw **** at the wall and sees what gets eyeballs. Giannis is an international name and top 3 player in the league for a decade. They have to do something. Giannis is a boring family man, no news about him in a club, with girls, being Hollywood.. Nothing. So trade stories are all they got. So they will milk it and milk it and milk it. Gotta get paid and get eyeballs. It's all a BS show and you are right it's now very transparent.

Hakeem won a ring with four vet role players, and two solid youngsters (Cassell and Horry). Giannis is Hakeem with handles. I don’t think there is any way we can contend next season. But there is a path to surrounding GA with the same type of cast (4-5 vets who fit the system, 1-2 up and coming youngsters) over the next two years and letting greatness rise. GA would have an easier path than Hakeem had through the mid 90s western conference.

You know..... there was a Toronto version of Hakeem as well
