I loathe the Jordan-LeBron comparisons but with regard to this statement it should be pointed out that comparing the two's accomplishments at the same age doesn't mean much since LeBron entered the NBA at age 18 whereas Jordan was 21. LeBron is in his ninth NBA season. When Jordan was in his ninth season he was winning his third straight NBA title.
The GOAT didn't even get to the Finals until he was 28 and in his 7th season. That really puts things in perspective.
LeBron's career has been interesting. He's fabulously talented. He easily one of the most talented players ever. Regardless, I don't think it can be argued that his career has been unlucky in many ways. Cleveland's front office never put a great team around him. The coaches he has played for are subpar at best.
In the season they went to the Finals against SA, the top five players in minutes played in the playoffs were LeBron, Z (31 years old at that point), Hughes, Pavlovic, and Drew freakin Gooden. In the Finals, a 2nd round rookie, Boob Gibson, played the second most minutes followed by Pavlovic. That is nuts.
