In the past ten years, has anyone in the NBA thrown even half the amount of cheap elbows as Kobe has? Maybe Karl Malone?

One last thing. Why don't teams immediately foul when they are up 3 late in the game instead of letting them shoot? What is the reason some NBA coaches refuse to this? The worst outcome is you're up 1 if they make both FTs. I don't understand it.

The "Bargnani will break the NBA record and score 82 points" comment was pretty classic. Someone had/has that sigged.

technically, the worst outcome would be for the offensive player to start his shot as you're about to foul and then have it go in, then make the free throw. unlikely, but that would be worse

Huge win for the Lakers. Hard to see the Magic coming back from this.

Strange seeing a team attempt 17 free throws to 0 in the 4th quarter and not winning.

So in a 2 possession game with the ball and three seconds left, you feel ending the game as quickly as possible shouldn't be the priority? That's when you move the ball, not give an emotional opponent a reason to injure you.

He only needs 82 to break the NBA record.

I don't think that was an intentional elbow, but you're not allowed to clear space that way and it should have been an offensive foul.

Does anyone else think its funny that on what is surely going to be a key Finals moment for Kobe he blasted a guy in the face with an elbow?

Clearly Jameer Nelson was playing uber-non-defence at the end of regulation and OT, and he intentionally ran full speed into Kobe's elbow in an attempt to get a call. Either that or it was an attempted suicide because he was so shyte.
Luckily, for the revenue department of the government, speed doesn't kill.
