Great sportsmanship shown by Rondo and Garnett. Was classless.

I wonder if the media will make a big deal over KG and Rondo leaving immediately without shaking hands like they did about Lebron James.

Re: First Round Playoff Thread
Never really liked Boston... but I feel bad for those guys that it is likely over. They were a hell of a team.
This should be a very exciting Finals. I am going to pick OKC to win. But I think the series rides on Wade. If Wade steps up, Miami should have a very good chance.

Only two assists for LeBron? Should be amnestied imo.

Will be interesting to see what Boston does.
I'm looking forward to this finals more than most. I think James is going to want to take it to KD.
If the Thunder win it I'll guess Westbrook wins the finals MVP.

Westbrook has struggled scoring the ball so far in the playoffs and has a tendancy to stagnate ball movement at the expense of better options imo. OKC has so many weapons - even Sefolosha and Ibaka can kill you from the perimeter - that they are almost impossible to stop when everyone's engaged on that end. It's a huge advantage having so many guys that can help you on both ends of the court.
That being said, Westbrook can definitely get hot, and they may need him to with LeBron likely on Durant for large portions of the game.

Bosh is going to be very important in drawing defenders away from the basket. He also obviously provides both a perimeter shooter and a guy who can catch and finish in the paint. Miami has very few finishers beyond the obvious.

Re: First Round Playoff Thread
Still going to pick OKC to win in five.
LeBron is the only guy on the Heat roster who can even hope to defend Durant. He's going to have to defend him 40+ minutes and the Heat will still be relying on him to come up with a majority of their offense. Can LeBron do that? Maybe. If anyone in the league can it's him. But that's a lot to ask of any player.
I think James Harden is an underrated player and nearing legit superstar status at this point. If he's on the Bucks or any team where he is 'the man' I think he's a 25/5/5 guy on good efficiency. Westbrook is also a stud and Ibaka is one of the better 'role players' in the league. In addition to that I think Perkins is going to have a big series against a small Miami team. OKC having Thabo to throw at LeBron to give Durant a rest on D is going to be huge.
Overall I don't trust Bosh yet despite the great effort tonight. Not sure he is quite back to who he needs to be after the injury. I especially do not trust Wade to turn in big performances with the way he has been playing.
However, if Wade plays the way he is capable of then I think Miami has a great chance.

Nah. I think LeBron is the best player in the league and I think it's pretty clear. But I think Kevin Durant is pretty close and is destined to be a Hall of Famer/multiple time MVP as well.
I think Durant is an overall more complete scorer than James is. His jump shot is incredible and his length lets him get it off at will against just about any defender. It's also impressive that his range seems almost limitless. Durant has also turned into a very good rebounder as well and is actually good on the defensive end.
But I take James over him because James is one of the best distributors in the league and because I think he is the most dominant perimeter defender in the NBA right now. I think he's close to Durant as a scorer and has a slight edge on him when it comes to being able to rebound the ball.
In the end I wouldn't be surprised if Durant outplayed him though. He certainly has the talent to do so.
So you take that and then add in that I think OKCs cast is better and I think OKC is going to take the series.

I see Sefolosha doing a decent job on Lebron, and Westbrook will be MVP. Thunder in 6 after a few questionably officiated games

IIRC Battier has done very well defending Durant. It could be very close series given that the bulk of Miami's defense comes from their perimeter talent which makes it a great match up plus both teams can put out ultra sexy small ball lineups with their big guns at PF.

Man, we added a ton of swag and it's still not enough to win.
