I don't think going into the luxury tax will be that big of a deal for them, so long as they aren't like $10+ million into it.
If they keep that team together they have extra revenue from having one of the more marketable players in the league, their TV contract will likely increase, they will sell out almost every game, they will sell out every game at home in the playoffs and from reading other articles apparently winning a championship increases team revenue by a ton.
