Well if that trade rumor is true it shows that Kidd doesn't think Lopez is very good...

So that's a good start.

Interesting perspective on Sports Reporters, one of the guys was saying he didn't really think this was a Power Trip kinda thing from Kidd as much as simply trying to save his own ass. That back when they had the rough start, Brooklyn has considered firing him and that the team is only going to continue getting worse as that team gets older and older, so his job might not be that safe if he's just the head coach.

who was offering that ugh?

Kidd was. Obviously rates one/both of Larry and Ers.

Well, in that case, Kidd was 100% right. Brooklyn would have been robbing us in that deal.

I honestly don't care about the domestic abuse/DUI like some. I'm against it because I don't think he's qualified and I think he will be a controlling POBO. Don't think he will give GM autonomy.

Yea, that fact that we might of accepted a deal like that tells me we aint getting any worse by bring Kidd in. Brook Lopez sucks and has a bum foot, Ersan is a better version of Teletovic.

The funny part about that is that the Nets fans commenting on the article are all laughing at how that offer is proof of how stupid Kidd is because that would be a highway robbery for us to get Brook and Mirza for those two lol.

Something a big market team would do even if it somewhat doesnt make any sense. But again these owners came here and saw how irrrvelant the Bucks were locally and nationally in every aspect whether it was on or off the court. They stated how much they want to change that and publicity wise they have. From the daughter at the draft, to possibly changing the colors, to Parker(by no control of their own) to now this. Think about it the Brewers have the best record in baseball(or 2nd), have gotten out to the best start in team history and the Bucks will be dominating the local sports landscape for the 2nd week in a row. In July.

Yes. At the end of the day this is entertainment. The Bucks are becoming relevant again. That's the first step.

business as usual in Milwaukee then, at least the guy in charge now would have basketball experience as opposed to being a US Senator of which we can all use a few Mark Twain to describe.

But then remember, if the guy you hire to run your organization is really good, you should have no problem giving up some compensation, even if it is a few million dollars or a 2nd round pick.

Ron Wolf gave up a 2nd round pick to hire Mike Holmgren away from the 49'ers. Was an asset extremely well spent.

Ron Wolf knew what he was getting, and he knew what he was doing and had the track record to prove it.

The Nets couldn't keep Kidd, or keep him satisfied; or just didn't want him at all, so why would anyone ever offer compensation for a coach they're looking to dump or felt compelled to part with?

Would any franchise -- especially one actually working to finally right the ship -- see as our first 'go-to' a problem-child employee who demanded not only increased responsibilities, not just a promotion, and not even merely greater voice in operational decisions -- but the whole enchilada?

"Gimme," Kidd said. "Gimme IT ALL." And it backfired.

Kidd felt entitled to make demands. Is that the kind of guy that knows how to work with people, rebuild a franchise the right way? The kinda guy we need, or a Milwaukee guy?

Kidd demanded. Remember that phrase. Even the Russian billionaire oligarch wouldn't go along with "Kidd demands total control" -- and he had the means.

Kidd wanted to coach, GM, run basketball operations. What's his record doing all of those. No one knows -- he hasn't done it all. At all.

Really not the measured, quality-driven approach Lasry & Edens advertised. Probly "you can talk to the Bucks" doesn't mean more than 'Nets say please talk to anyone'. The faster they can get rid of this kind of character, the better off they feel: it's the way of the oligarch. (Bucks FO being "unaware" lends credence to that hunch)

Personnel changes would be great -- when the time is right. But not impressive to put Larry Drew in nearly the same kinda position Terry Porter was hung out to dry in a few years ago.

I saw that. What a bunch of idiots.

Lopez/Sanders is pretty much a wash because the gap offensively is as much in favor of Lopez as defensively it's in favor of Sanders.

But Ersan vs. Teletovic? Are you serious?

Sanders rep around the league has taken a big hit from Woelfel's bogus rehab blurb and other assorted random hit pieces. We know the truth.

I think a lot of people prefer the young analytics guys that run their teams like NBA 2k. The Suns just had an FTD season. Let's see if they can sustain it. Philly and Orlando? Are they ever going to be good?

I honestly don't care what happens at this point. I take this all in stride...Kohl is gone. Bucks are in Milwaukee. Local Investors interested in supporting the new arena. Drafted Jabari and Inglis. Kidd - meh. Bucks really in the news...A LOT:

In 1982 when I took the test, 1600 was the max score. You got 400 for filling out your name correctly. There were 60 math and 60 English questions, each worth 10 points each. The questions started out very easy, and got progressively harder. They were multiple choice, with 5 selections.
A score of 670 would be 27/120 questions right.

Kidd scored higher than our Ivy League president (580). SAT scores mean very little to me.

Right?!? It's **** hilarious. In full disclosure: I hadn't either until I was visiting the Brewhoop comments section and a user by the name of 'shafftybro' posted it. I thought it was the best thing ever. I mean, I could literally look at and laugh at this pic for minutes at a time.

This Kidd to Bucks thing is like Shaka Smart to Marquette right?
Please tell me it is like the Shaka Smart done deal to Marquette!
Please!?!
We have cute pictures for an arena and an absent Mayor of Milwaukee on the arena issue.
