Exactly. We blow teams out all year long then get to the playoffs & 3-4 of our guys are unplayable. RoLo, Ersan, Sterling, Marvin & Pat all became either massive negatives or useless. At least now we have a CLEAR best 5

Probably my biggest priority was entering the season with a more dynamic starting backcourt than Bled and Wes. Love the moves in that regard.

We can fret over the draft compensation but Winning Takes Balls :D

Let’s be real, they were most of this.. Giannis handpicked Jrue and Bogdan, told brass to go get them, and signed off on the outgoing assets. Only thing he didn’t do was make the phone calls. So yeah, Horst gets some credit, I guess, but any one of us could have made this deal if there were no restrictions. Can I give up 2 years worth of assets? Sure! How about 4? Sure! How about 6? Sure! That all said, I’m so excited. This is what was needed to be done. Giannis here long term with a championship core. Flying right now.

Stop crying about the 1st rd picks given up in the Holiday trade. Giannis was a steal at 15. The next biggest Bucks steal was Brogdon in the 2nd Ed. Relax and enjoy Holiday.

Too funny that I said Bogdan works as a starting SG IF we get Jrue lol. Don’t love the deal but I love the lineup

Great great news. We just got quite a bit better. This was the deal I was hoping for and we got it! Very happy.

That's a big price. I like the guy and all, but we're now in Paul George/Westbrook/AD territory here.

Yep. A lot can change between now and when those picks come due. One of them could literally be a Shaq/Lebron type pick. I assume since they still owe the Cavs a future pick, the other picks have to be spaced WAY out every other year. I don't like this deal. Holiday hasn't shot the 3 well for years.

This is going to force Bud to play our starters 35-40+ minutes a game in the playoffs. I love it!

WIN MOTHER ****ING NOW! (Giannis better resign)

If Giannis wants to be traded imagine all the picks the Bucks will be getting at that point.

Besides Thanasis and Mason who else is on our bench right now?
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Whats being lost in the draft revisionism is that those picks could be the foundation for a different major-ish deal. Just because the Bucks routinely **** the bed doesnt mean they should recklessly mismanage their draft assets.

Overall I consider this a positive but understand why some are skeptical of the position the Bucks are now in.

We love draft picks because they are a ticket for Bucks-focused NBA talk year round and they give us hope. But that list says a lot. I was trying to reference Vaughn today and I couldn't even come up with his name, only Bobby Portis who at the time I wish we had taken. Yes, they are also trade chips which we definitely have none of anymore.

Lets look at this list. I'm happy as long as we keep the 2nds. Talent can fall and be found.

Michael Redd
Ersan
Brogdon
Brown

My lingering anxiety is not a Brooklyn team with Harden, it's that Bud will still not make any adjustments in the playoffs and the players themselves won't be enough to pull it off. Losing the draft picks will suck most if we become a mediocre team or worse and have nothing to hang our hope on for improvement. Is there any protection on the picks? Top ten?

This also makes me think that we shouldn't be giving Horst a ton of props for this trade. He had an ultimatum and was given the green light to throw as many assets as needed to do the trade. It's like, "Baby, go out and get yourself something nice and don't worry about what you're spending." You're going to get something nice for the now but that silky bathrobe with Spongebob sprayed in gold dust on the back might not look so good in a couple years when you just need some socks and sneakers. It doesn't take acumen or savviness to overspend. If you're thinking those picks are going to be low, however, it looks alright. Horst knows he would've been out if they lost Giannis anyway so he did it. Seriously, what does Horst have to lose by doing this? I wish I could've checked his blood pressure during the last 24 hours.

Again, I think the trade was necessary and will make us better but we also shouldn't underestimate what we gave up, including two assets (Bledsoe is an asset depending on how he is used).

Worst trade ever unless Giannis re-signs. Then its the best trade ever.
P.S. wouldn't Teague have been just as good at less of a price?
