They positioned themselves well in drafts and got really good players (Tatum, Brown).

If he doesn't sign, you:

- Trade Giannis immediately for the best package available
- Immediately shop Middleton, Holiday, Brook, DDV, everyone
- Tank the season and position yourself to get a top 5 pick
- Go from there

Tatum is definitely a superstar or nearing becoming one. Also, him and Brown were both #3 picks. The chances of the Bucks having a top 5 pick prior to 2028 is slim to none, even if they make trades. Bucks are absolutely screwed if Giannis leaves or they have to trade him.

i would trade him but not for picks. give me best players aviable and see what we can do from there. give me Bam (they really cant play together) if we deal with Miami. when all is said and done we may remember Bam as better playoff player than Giannis.

This would be the worst case scenario. You throw away your championship chances in order to become the Kings.

sure what a wonderful goal!! 50 wins.. maybe a playoff series win......generally you use your draft picks and every couple years a guy works out. spend money on front office personnel and coaches. dont sell out or gamble the entire franchise on wishy washy superstars or the wishes of their baby mamas, uncles, or rapper friends. its just a stupid philosophy. i mean right now we are about to be a living example of nba hell if we dont just quickly move on

if giannis doesnt sign the very valid argument is that those chances are gone anyway to all but those that dont read history

It's the endgame for Lasry & Co. Bought the team for $500 million. Value is already up to $1.6 billion. Yearly profits are for hookers and jet fuel

Jrue, Midds, Brook all get traded.

I don't want to touch Bam or Herro. Screams 7th/8th seed. If we re-build let's actually re-build. 2021/2022 drafts are loaded.

Why would Phoenix give us that package for a 1-year rental of Giannis? He's not re-signing with them.

Ok you can like that but you cannot ask from Giannis to want that, correct?
But even then its not Giannis fault, its the organization to blame, they can be a 50 wins team if they trade him with the value he can bring back so i dont understand why is Giannis fault, again never mind my friend, all good.

Perhaps superstar wasn't the correct usage I was looking for, even though I don't think Tatum is much more than a really good scorer. There is a belief by some that we'll never win if we can't win with our "generational" superstar. I highly disagree with that statement.

We're not winning the title if Giannis doesn't sign. Do you really think this team is going to be able to put together any sort of championship run with his contract situation looming overhead all year?

giannis has been winning 60+ games a year. now he doubts his own ability and wants to go find another team with less pressure on him. a team that is has championship aspirations whether hes there or not like miami.

im not saying its giannis fault. just saying he drank the koolaid and now like most of todays stars has become soft. winning rings needs to be easy. picking teams is the same as the ringchasers signing for the vet min and riding bitch seems like a good option. its not anything to do with his fault.... its just kind of sad and pathetic. but thats how mvps do these days. it just is how it is. we can all thank lebron in many ways

Yep, I’d ask Pat Riley for Bam and Herro. If he says no, then move on. Truly think Riley would pull the trigger, knowing he’d still have Jimmy and Dragic, and could likely pull another star in FA come July.

 duncan or nunn and bam is the more likely scenario

but the idea we could leave deals like that on the table for this supposed chance this year is mindboggling

Not gonna lie, that team would be a lot of fun for the Bucks

"Staying competitive" works in football and baseball. Make the playoffs and you have a legit shot at the title. It doesn't work that way in the NBA.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

offcourse not. actually, with energy we saw in preseason games, we are not top 4 team at east this year.

offcourse, it is preseason but it is preseason for Mavs too. in preseason you cant make much conclusions about offense, defense etc. but you can already say that chemistry / energy is not good.

I listen to a ton of Miami pods because of Le Batard, and my god, they think Herro is a way bigger asset than he actually is. In no way is he going to be a centerpiece that nabs them a legit superstar like Harden or Giannis. Bam is that guy.

I think in an absolute best case scenario, we might get Butler and Herro or Butler and one of their rookies or Nunn or something. I don't think there's really any chance they trade Bam.

Could theoretically sell some Bucks fans on the fact that Butler is a Marquette kid coming home. I think Bam is the least likely player on that team to be moved. Well, maybe Udonis Haslem and then him.

For what it's worth, after a short dive in to closed house listing sales in River Hills the past 30 days, don't see any with indoor basketball courts.

Tyler Herro is a better playmaking Lou Williams. Give me MPJ over Herro any day.
