I made it through a day's worth of playing without having to grind and dying, I think, twice. Then like an idiot I get killed by a snatcher, only now I think I'm gonna use it as an opportunity to farm those annoying bastards. I think that's one way I comfortably got through my first play through.

Bloodborne was such a joy for me. I platinumed it last year, was the first time I ever did the DLC which was some of the best content in the game.

I love FromSoft.

It's fun. Was my first FS game. If you had asked me before this week about specific things I probably wouldn't have been able to come up with five, but playing it back again now I'm constantly going, "Oh yea, and now you do this...". I'm looking forward to NG+.

So Valheim kinda runs like **** (drops frames pretty frequently) on my computer and that shouldn't be the case.

Yeah, it doesn’t seem well optimized yet but kind of to be expected. My girlfriend was interested in the building aspect so we picked it up and play with three other friends. It’s been quite good so far; I think it’s just got the right recipe for the moment — co-op where you can’t grief and the option to build, fight, or do both.

Picked up the Metal Gear Solid V bundle on the PS network for $7 because I had never played the Ground Zeroes prologue mission. I almost forgot how great of a game it was, and I'm willing at this point to say that it's the best MGS game ever made (better than 3). Perfect blend of fun, open world gameplay and Cold War political intrigue/espionage. And of the course the completely bat **** crazy villains and wacky boss fights.

Madden '04 Michael Vick is the most powerful video game character in history and I'm not sure it's even debatable.

I mean.... clearly you don't know Diddley.

I'm really enjoying Baldur's Gate 3.

Picking up Valheim soon, although I know little about it. A buddy set up his own server.

Some of those rankings reek of recency bias. Ranking a Call of Duty protagonist as a #5 seed is also criminal.

This isn't me being controversial for the sake of doing so: largely silent characters can go kick rocks. What about Mario, Pac-Man, or Link make them great characters? They just happen to be the pixels you control in very, very good games.

I thought a lot about this and, it's still Vick. Imagine prime Barry Sanders if he could also throw the ball 60+ yards in the air. That was video game Vick in a nutshell before they nerfed his speed and literally implemented a whole new game mechanic (QB vision) to somewhat mitigate his effectiveness. He essentially made online unplayable unless you were in lobbies/leagues that banned the Falcons.

It was insanely easy to stop most Vick users online if you were an experienced Madden player. Manually control a fast LB and spy Vick while running Cover 3. Good Vick players were a headache but in my leagues, no one used him.

I voted more in terms of character design and stature in gaming than literally how powerful they are in games. And in those terms Mario is certainly one of the best video game characters of all time. His silhouette alone is instantly recognizable to almost anyone in the world, even if they've never actually played a Mario game.

I wasn't sure whether or not to go with most powerful, most iconic, my favorite or what..."best" can mean a lot. So I ended up going with my favorites.

Cloud Strife is a 13 seed; Goose - the **** animal from the 2 hour long Untitled Goose Game - is a 6 seed.

Not to mention Goose's opposition. I feel like those should be flipped.

Mike Tyson blowing out John Marston is infuriating.
