Now do Vogt

No doubt. The guy has zero offensive game. But he also has like zero usage. It’s not like he’s wasting many possessions failing to finish 1 foot from the rim against any challenge or air balling three two feet wide left.

The upshot, he doesn’t get pushed around and isn’t a really bad rebounder.

Like Kerb, my main issue with him is he fouls like a maniac, but maybe that would change if he knew he needed to be out there more.

What’s the deal with Mors?

Redshirting

We are kind of stuck with two bad centers. I think playing time is gonna depend on the opponent. Some teams are gonna just smoke us down low.

Since I've spent most of my existence, minus my college years, in SE Wisconsin, love basketball, and didn't attend either university, I really don't care who wins this game. I've enjoyed rooting for both programs for the duration of my basketball watching life and will continue to do so. Just hoping for a great game! Goooooo teams!

Reminder, if you're a basketball fan, and you or your family did not attend either school, there is no reason whatsoever to not root for both programs. "Fibs driving expensive cars to expensive houses on our lakes" is not a good reason to root against Marquette basketball. "Simpleton farmers with nails-on-chalkboard accents" is not a good reason to root against Wisconsin basketball. You're never too old to improve yourself. Lets start with our fandom.

I'm a big fan of both teams, but given i live in Milwaukee, i am a slightly bigger fan of Marquette, so i cheer for them when they play the Badgers. Other than this particular game though, i cheer for Wisconsin.

Glad to see that both Marquette and Wisconsin look to be quite a bit better than most expected. I could easily see each team making the NCAA Tournament, but Marquette facing tougher odds given a roster with nine freshman.

I hope the Badgers win and the game is aesthetically unwatchable. Football score bad. I hope Davidson takes twelve charges and shoots like 3-26. I want to see Chris Vogt play sound positional defense and then boot the ball off his foot multiple times. Tyler Wahl 8-second dribble posts. You just want to see a good game? Get bent. We choosing sides here. War's not pretty.

I clearly said that in this particular game, i want Marquette to win. In fact, every year i have a standing bet with a Badgers fanatic/friend to where the loser of the game buys a dinner. That said, once this game is over, i cheer for Wisconsin in the rest of their games.

Speaking of Marquette, watching them so far, Shaka looks like he has pulled off a pretty amazing large transformation of the roster in just one offseason after taking the job. Multiple impressive looking young high school recruits, along with some transfers who are all playing well. They were picked to finish 9th in the Big East prior to the season, but they should be much better than that, similar to Wisconsin being underrated.

The Badgers will be at home though, so they deserve being a small favorite.

Shaka is doing a good job and in the spirit of the holidays, I will not use all caps when I type out the following: Marquette can go to hell.

I couldn't care less who wins between two middling treadmill programs.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Haven’t watched a Marquette game but I saw they had some wins which appear at face value to be solid. However, kenpom still appears to be really down on them.

Hopefully the results start following the analytics.

Here's something you can take at face value, namely, the will to win. Personal sacrifice. Fundamentals. Even blind man can see it.

Read on Twitter

Be best. Or in the case of Marquette, be second best.

Have a blessed day.

I don't know if Marquette has risen as far as they should yet, so maybe this won't bear out, but KenPom and the like has it at about Wisconsin -9 or -10.

Usually the spreads are spit out from these systems, but I could see it being a bit lower because I'm not sure Marquette is still undervalued a bit from being so low in the pre-season ratings that are baked into those.

if you like Freedom, Fresh Air, Clean Water, and Brad Davison... Wisconsin
If you're into Incarceration, Illiteracy,, and IIllinois.... Marquette

Ok.. im joking about Marquette, clearly just poking fun. However, you like who you like. As long as you're having fun watching the game and you enjoy the team you pick... or even teams. All the better. College basketball is a great thing. I love it.
