I'd say the Bucks beat themselves when it came to that. They just weren't moving the ball right in those losing games. It wasn't just an issue vs Brooklyn.

It better be, and they better figure it out. We can't be praying for someone to be injured or waiting for KD to age...

That’s why getting this one was so important. The truth is that nets team was going wipe the floor with anybody fully healthy, even the lakers. That’s just the reality of super teams.

As far as the offense, I feel it was a combination of things. They really sold out on no transition, Giannis shot selection early in that series was at its peak of being bad, Jrue offense for that series was the worst I’ve ever seen from a player of his caliber  and as much as I love pj, we really play 4 on 5 when he’s on the floor.

Lastly I feel the playoff offense will never be great just because our core only has one good shooter and even he couldn’t shoot his averages. The bucks are mid 2000 pistons with slightly worse defene(still historic) but with an all time great player. Against most contenders I like the bucks chance straight up but you’re going to need a lil luck against the nets, everybody will.

Give me smart Giannis, improved Middleton and healthy DDV. Don't care about BK.

It's been said a million times before, but Harden and Kyrie aren't helping a ton on the defensive end and with how ridiculous KD was shooting how much more efficient offensively do they get with those two taking shots away from him? They'll be the favorites, but with our defense we can beat that team.

I am still wondering if Giannis can be the best player on a team that wins a championship?

I am 85% with you. Almost typed the exact same thing before I read your post.

But Brooklyn will still shape their roster, there will be dudes who ring chase there and vets who want a year partying in NY. They also could upgrade from Joe Harris (with a trade, or just get a better playoff run out of Joe Harris). Also no secret they would love to trade Kyrie.

Giannis with the confidence of a ring this early, proving everyone wrong will play like the GOAT for the rest of his career and win atleast 5 more rings with the Bucks.

Giannis was spotted at Disney today. My brother's friend saw him on a ride a couple people behind him.

This guy is truly something.

Morning after a championship he's at Chikfilet a few days after, he's on a Disney ride with his son and pregnant girl.

Is it? I never heard anything about that. They didn't play together much, but I didn't see any problem with the fit. Their offense was lethal and Harden is more than happy to be the main facilitator

They definitely win with a healthy squad, but it's closer than people think. Giannis played much better as the playoffs went on and I don't think it's because Clint Capela and Deandre Ayton are somehow way worse defenders than Blake Griffin. He stopped taking so many 3's, he made better passes out of double teams, and he stopped being so predictable on his drives where Blake could just camp and get the charge call. I'm excited for a rematch

I checked Giannis instagram after a while and I saw Tom Brady congratulating Giannis for the chip and I noticed that Giannis has more followers than him. WTF? It's insane how much more popular are the nba stars compared to the nfl ones if you count the international fans.

Giannis has 10.4m
Brady has 9.9m
Rodgers has 1.7m

10.4m is just the population of Greece... I don't even know who Tom Brady is.

Not many people outside the USA follow hand-egg at all. Everyone knows at least one basketballer.

Would love to see the figures of NBA league pass vs NFL leagues pass internationally ,but as others have said NFL just doesn't have the same international appeal nor is an international game.

I liked another poster mentioned how different Giannis played every round in the tournament.

He started out as the normal Giannis, but each series, each game there was so much growth.

It's amazing to see him do everything we had been asking for so long. Stop trying to be KD, stop being predictable, stop running into walls and wasting possessions, and picking up fouls, have more post moves, get that 10ft jumper. Don't waste possessions with 5-7 threes a game. Add a bit of Tim Duncan, fix your long ass FT routine!

Every round he just got better, every round he grew, every round he started to shave off the bad stuff and refined the good stuff.

And not just got better, but dug deeper, and so often was completely unstoppable. Played smarter, setup hi teammates, made better decisions, pick n roll with Khris to death.

I mean the Giannis that started the playoffs and the Giannis that hoisted the trophy were two different players. The regular season seemed ages ago. Giannis and the team were so battled tested and so resilient, and while they didn't always make the right play, they always made just enough of the right plays when it counted.

And by the end Giannis became the best player on the planet.

Yeah Giannis also represents both Africa and Europe at the same time so I guess he gets a big boost from that too. He is also very popular in China.

From a list from March 2021 Giannis 4th in NBA on endorsement money behind Lebron, KD and Curry. He is between Neymar and Leo Messi and that's by playing on a small market without winning the Chip and the FMVP yet. He had similar endorsements with Nadal and Djokovic in March.

Our boy is **** gold right now and he still eats burgers in Sweden with old friends, wears sandals in the rain, orders Chick-fil-A in drive-through after dropping 50 and goes to Disneyland for fun.

Need to put 'All-Star MVP' in the title IMO.
