I'm not that sure it's crazy. I think Thibs is just the dude who has his players do it. These guys are the best athletes in the world and I think we're just used to them playing 33 minutes a night, when most can probably do 48 when called upon.

Why is he shooting so well?

I thought of the hypothesis that if he plays a high number of minutes, his shooting becomes better; I thought about this hypothesis as I knew that he had played 44 minutes today.

With this hypothesis in my mind, I went now to see Ddvs playing time and fg and 3 pt percentages across all the 8 games he has played in this year’s playoffs. Almost without exception, the larger the minutes played, the better was his shooting percentage.

He i am guessing never played anywhere close to 37 or 44 minutes in a game with the Bucks.

I would also like to see the total time length of a NBA regular season game and a playoff game. Granted they are playing harder, but got to feel there is an extra 10-15 min of timeouts in fourth during a playoff game with all the reviews, challenges and time out

I think I've come to peace with Giannis never getting another mvp.

LeBron last mvp was at 28yrs old and he was dominating even ell after that. No one wanted to give him anymore even though he was often still the best player. Yes he had 4, but they had to share the trophy with other great players. There were other greats in their prime and new young talent coming up.

I'm not saying giannis is at LeBron's status or anything. I'm saying could arguably be the best player every year but no one wants to give him anymore. They want to award other guys in their prime or young up and coming talent who are dominating.

The only thing giannis could do if somehow this summer he develops and jump shot and suddenly can shoot midrange and 3s with decent accuracy. Like shock the NBA with a new reinvented shot and they dominate the east with 60 wins and out pace Boston. Then MAYBE he's the new talk because he's a new player.

But it's not going to happen. Even when he flashes some midrange game in the early part of the season it usually falls back down to earth.

Giannis got 2 mvps and certainly had a good case got a 3rd but his window is passed.

The media is going to want Luka to have one, ANT to be in the running, SHA, maybe even Brunson.



For Giannis, I hope he continues to work on that post game and gives us more tim Duncan moves instead of risking injury always going full steam and having that take a toll on his body. He's gotta mix it up between, full steam attack, post moves, occasionally mid range takes. Diversifying that bag and keep himself healthy over the season and throughout the playoffs.

Apparently, Kerr helped fix his shot. The results have certainly been there for him.

His shot has always looked beautiful, so it makes sense that a subtle thing like hand placement was the thing holding him back.

Thibs always plays his guys a lot. And the starters for every team see increased playoff minutes. And no B2B. Just that the difference is stark for Hart. He went from 33.4 MPG in the RS to 45.8 so far in the playoffs. +12.4. Brunson went from 35.4 to 42.4. +7 and DDV from 29.1 to 34.8. +5.7

The knicks really just grabbed every two way specialist they could get their hands on.. lets review what that cost

Josh Hart: Cam Reddish and a first. Cam cost them a first from cha that they paid a 1.19 to obtain. So two mid to late 1sts.

DDV: Signed as FA for under 12m per year.

OG: Cost them Barrett and Quickley. Barrett was a 1.3 and Quickley a late 1st that panned out.

This is just really good roster management by the Knicks. They knew what they wanted to be and they condensed all their extra talent in order to create the identity they have now. But they didnt do it overnight. And they had assets laying around that we just dont have. They did all that and still have all their 1sts going forward as well as an extra first from Dallas this season.

If we want to add more than one two way player, its likely going to mean both Brook and Bobby are gone, and probably Pat too.

It’s not like it’s the biggest issue ever but I just thought the media were never really going to give any other player an actual shot at winning it because they love Jokic so much (and he deserves it I just think it’s a bit much and he can do no wrong).

Shai arguably played as well as anyone on a night to night basis, was a two way star on a team that went from a play in team to winning 57 games and finishing with the one seed. That deserved more than losing out on 64 first place votes.

I think the arguments about "____ should have lost by fewer votes" is always kinda stupid personally. Two candidates can be very close and still end up unanimously giving one of them the win. I'm sure there's some people out there that think Jokic was far and away the most valuable player this year but we don't really know anything about that just from looking at the voting results.

I think he's going to be a good coach. I liked him over Griffin for the Bucks job and thought he could keep what Bud did well but give it fresh new eyes with some tweaks. Instead, we got Dr. Griff trying to do a whole facelift.
