good coaches vs bad coaches is a fine margin. doc wasnt great but he wasnt as big a deal as the board makes him out to be imo
personally if hes brought back id be like meh. whatever. without being there myself i find it hard to decipher. i dont think you can draw a line on coaches unless youre a gm and have a heartbeat of the lockerroom dynamic. as fans we dont have that. every coach on every team in america from HS on up people bitch about
i do think the starting lineups were weird but if we sat with him at dinner and he unloaded for a night it might make sense. sometimes its more about the people than it is the metrics or the tradition. people and personalities in the lockerroom outweigh all of that

Nope, not even close. Buds was easily the worst. Doc played some scrubs, but Bud's was embarassing.

reaching basketball consciousness in the 80s i look back and achilles seemed really really rare. now like its everywhere all the time. its weird. i developed a weird anxiety in my early 40s when i made a short comeback playing ball in a rec league locally(i was still seminasty enough i should have been having fun for that level after not touching a ball in almost 10 years despite being groundbased).....but i quit after that one deal.... i kept thinking every time i played like i was lucky i didnt blow an achilles. getting hurt in general bothered me.....but it was the achilles i thought and even discussed with friends. it was anxiety inducing and took the fun out of it oddly
its the one injury that to me is just like sooooo **** that. acl tear would suck but whatever fine i can limp around. guys could still plow their fields in the old days with those. tear the **** out of both groins or hammys fine. brutal handicap but heals without surgery. head wounds or missing teeth whatever. pirate looking guys age with class. achilles?....no effing way im going down that road.
so strictly golf now. 200 rounds a year but no achilles worry. tiger just blew his but it was doing dumb stuff like lifting wieghts. i dont lift weights. like what am i trying for a super model at this age? maybe i can score one if they like pirates after theyve been stranded a year with healthy achilles.

Sure, but one thing is fixable immediately and another is not. They can fire Doc tomorrow and fix the coaching situation. They can't pull a championship caliber roster out of their asses. That's not possible. So who gives a **** if Doc is still around? The roster is beyond repair. That's all that matters.

This logic just makes no sense to me. Like yeah, of the two big problems on the team one is quickly fixable and the other isn't. But Giannis Antetokounmpo is on the roster. If he's on the roster and he's committed to being with the Bucks moving forward you owe it to him to at least **** try, and you do that by at least fixing what is fixable.
Now obviously if Giannis outright asks for a trade or is hinting towards it behind closed doors, that's a different situation altogether. But if he wants to be here and the franchise is aligned on that, the "who gives a **** if Doc is still around" stuff makes no sense.
