I get your overall point (bolded), but it's worth continuing to note that this just isn't a lot of money anymore. His ACV on this season's cap would be 16.2% - which will be even lower when the extension actually kicks in, but for ease of example I'm going with it. It's the equivalent of an 11M ACV 10 seasons ago. That's what Denver paid Wilson Chandler that season; he was injured that entire season, but he was a 14/6 player on way worse efficiency the season prior.

Braun's 24. Seems like nothing to whine about on either side IMO

Toppin or/and Mathurin could become available later in the year.

I don't watch a ton of regular season NBA games. At least not complete games. I might tune in with a few minutes left of a close game. Tonight I will check out the games on NBC, I want to see their presentation, graphics, etc... And to see if they've butchered Roundball Rock (don't mess with a good thing!)

Tonight's first game:

Play-by-Play: Mike Tirico
Analysts: Reggie Miller, Jamal Crawford
Reporter: Zora Stephenson
Studio Host: Maria Taylor
Studio Analysts: Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter

Second game:

Play-by-Play: Noah Eagle
Analyst: Grant Hill
Reporter: Ashley ShahAhmadi
Studio Host: Ahmed Fareed
Studio Analyst: Tracy McGrady
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

I appreciate this and I do understand the context here, and I'm not trying to say this is an absurd deal from any point of view. It feels to me like an assertion that he's going to be a top 75 player over the course of this contract and I'm not there with him. It's like a longer version of Steph's ankle-discount 2nd contract, but more straightforward / with less variance baked in.

Braun had been really good in the regular season, but can't make a shot in the playoffs. That's a real problem.

Steven Adams getting a huge positive reaction from the OKC fans, then announcing KD to raucous boos was hilarious to me  I agree with them.

Surprised to see some empty seats given how nuts this fanbase is.

I don't like the score bug. Whats with the chunky/centered trend?

Trendy as hell right now. Thunder are annoying to watch.

Wait, protecting shooters is a point of emphasis this year? Weren’t they already more protected than anyone else?

Well there's only 2 baseball teams and none playing until Friday. Football goes until December/January for college and pros. I'm a huge fan of the late covid start because summer time playoff basketball rocks but I don't see fans getting more excited for a mid-november start when it cold and snowy. Am I missing another conflict?

No. I'm more about a shorter season starting on Xmas day (never happen). It's hard to hold casual fans attention for 6 months and then another 2 months of playoffs.
