It's hard to be bullish on Stauskas given how he has played (which is why he is likely quite available) but I think he could be a guy who just hasn't adjusted well but that the light switch could come on for. The guy is a shooter who is missing BIG on some of these shots. Suggest more of a confidence problem than anything. Doesn't help that the entire organization is dysfunctional and their super star is a petulant child who is probably not easy to play with if you're not totally secure with yourself. I think he's a buy low right now.

I'm in even though I think Stauskas busts.

Stauskas changed his body from his first year to his second year at Michigan and it payed huge dividends, he needs to get in the weight room and he will be very good, can score and pass.....high basketball IQ

I think we need to start asking, what is the best piece we can acquire under 25, for JOB, Clipper 1st and a 7M TPE?

This team is the little engine that could. That Clipper pick might not amount too much. So what is the best piece we could realistically acquire with that package (not giving up other picks, that package is house money IMO)? Add Ersan if he has any value but I expect he does not.

Kanter expressed his frustration after Wednesday's 87-82 loss to the Mavericks, a game in which Kanter left with an eye injury but never returned despite his claim that he was healthy enough to play.

"It was not my eye at all. I don't know what it was, but it was not my eye at all. So we'll see what's going to happen," Kanter said after the game, declining to elaborate further.

I'd offer the Clips first and that's about it for Kanter.

I'm not a Stauskas fan, but I'd do that trade 10/10. Getting Ersan out of here alone would be amazing.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

I think Kanter is a FA, no point trading anything of value for him.

Collison would be useful here the next few years, and he's hardly on a bad contract at 3/15. I'd like to sweeten the pot and nab him too. With what I don't know. Not sure Clips' 1st, 2nd, TPE, and JOB would be enough for them both. I don't see how Ersan benefits their situation, and he still could ours when he gets over all these injuries. I'm not averse to dealing him, but the suitor has to make sense for both parties to be happy.

Well he's a RFA, so it's not quite the same as trading for Monroe.

I mean, if we trade for him, do we get his bird rights?

In terms of a C, he could be a perfect fit for us offensively. If Giannis and Parker develop a shot, we could have a 3 point threat all over the starting 5. Hes a good offensive rebounder, so that speaks well IMO towards his overall rebouding abilities. Hes a great FT shooter, a plus for a big. The only issue with him is defense. And honestly, thats more mentality if anything. If hes getting 25-28 minutes a game, Henson getting that other 20 minutes, thats a great C rotation for situational basketball.

Obviously, Id feel if we traded for him, the goal would be to resign him. And if we had the bird rights, assuming we cleared Sanders, our big money guys would be Middleton, Knight, and Kanter for a few years with guys like OJ and Zaza expiring before Giannis needs an extension.

Personally, Id offer Ersan + picks for Kanter. Maybe this years 1st and the Clippers, which isnt going to be a high pick at any rate. Make Kanter a clear part of the core, hope Kidds ability to coach a stellar defense and his scoring ability paired together gives us that dominant big man.

Well if Larry comes back after break, I would actually like to keep Gutti.

Wouldn't mind going after Kanter to help as big man.
Not high on Stauskas though, would like to see us pick up someone else. Rebounders especially.

As a Jazz fan, I think he's going to Milwaukee for Ersan Illysova and a first round draft pick. The question is which pick. Bucks 2016 or Clippers 2017.

I would easily give up Ersan and the Clippers pick for Kanter.

My opinion of Enes is at an all time low. He's a great prospect, but right now I'd rather let him be someone else's headache.

Why the headache though? Admittedly haven't watched much of the Jazz or Kanter much at all this year outside of highlights. Attitude problems, defensive issues, something else?

If you want to be traded, that's fine, but don't kill all the trade leverage the Jazz have by going public with it. Just a stupid, rash decision. Maybe it puts more pressure on the Jazz to trade him, but we're going to get low balled from now on.

Like I said before, Kanter is a great prospect, but he's not a good basketball player. He plays only to get points and rebounds. He'll can drop 20 and 10 on any given night, but he's not a winning player. He's a very nice person off of the floor but he's just not mature on the court.

I'm pretty confident Enes does what Monroe does and takes the qualifying offer. No team is going to give him 10+ but he's going to want it. Only scenario I see where he gets big money is if Big Al leaves CHA, and CHA decides to replace him with Enes...how ironic.

Kanter is a prime candidate to sign for the qualifying offer IMO.

Damn. Sounds like problems Kidd can work with though, he's turned out to be a pretty damn good developmental coach and motivator. Don't know if this goes down but I'd be intrigued to say the least.
