Delfino another good game, though got torched a bit on D in the 2nd and 3rd.

:o

what part do you mean? The 3pt by Rudy when he jumped over Roy and got screened or the 2 by Batum? Combined, both defensive assignments got 2-9 FG. He even had time to help on Roy and Aldridge (both scoring under their averages). You really missed me at hello

He got burned twice on silly backdoor plays for Roy, got sealed straight under the rim by not paying attention as Miller brought the ball up the court for another bucket to Roy, then got sucked in way too far when on Rudy. Those are 4 plays that stand out in my mind, though I'm not watching a replay as that was bad enough the first time.

Just got back from the game.

First thing I will say is Skiles leaving our starting unit on the bench for the first 6 minutes of the 2nd quarter absolutely killed us.

We were in a nice rhythm to start the game, never gelled again after that terrible first half substitution pattern.

Isn't somebody supposed to help on those backdoor plays? Or be in correct position from the start?

Will be handy if Shaq misses tomorrow's game aswell. Not that his replacement is all that bad he just always likes to get fired up for matchups with Bogut and we need all the help we can get at the moment. Bogut played well against the Celtics last season too so could use a big game from him.

Two of them didn't even come off picks though, they were just V cuts for catches at the tim. 'Don't fall for it' is all the help you're going to get.

We have no chemistry clearly. Why not go back to the same starting 5 that was so successful last season and get back to our winning ways. Have Maggette and Gooden in our second unit which would be potentially far more effective.

I'm kind of a bit surprised at how down everyone is already. We shot like crap, Bogut got blocked all the time and was apparently 'passive'. Yet he had 12-9 with 2 blocks. If that's a pube game I'll take it everytime he has one. We've got 3 fit starters. One of the unfit starters was our best scorer at the end of last season. The other unfit starter is the anchor of the team who always starts seasons poorly. We got beaten by a better team.

Give it a few weeks at least before chucking in the towel. I think we'll be 3-7 or 4-6 after 10. Then we really should start to click. Obviously I'd like us to be 5-5 or 6-4, but watching the team at the moment, that's not going to happen. I'm willing to be patient.

He only brought Bogut back for a couple of minutes in the 2nd before taking him back out as well which was weird, not to mention waiving the white flag when down about a dozen with 6 or so minutes to play. Still, Scott does that. He's a great coach but I very often disagree with his substitution patterns.

Seems like you guys went through what we did the night before against Chicago: not playing your best, and then struggling to make adjustments. I know you guys are / can be better than how you played tonight, and are gonna be a threat once your wings get figured out.

That being said, what was your guys' impressions on LaMarcus and Armon Johnson? We've been pretty pleased with their overall games and defense (especially LMA for not just being a bitch and taking foul line extended jumpers, and seemingly playing semi decent defense on a few good centers now)
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

One of the best games I've seen LMA play tonight - his D was VASTLY better than I've ever seen it before. If he keeps that up he'll sway my opinion on him.
Johnson hit some nice J's, didn't notice much else.

Did you see the game? He really wasn't very good. Those two blocks came within a 1-2 minute stretch and he had 7 of those points in the first half. He fumbled away at least 3 easy baskets, got blocked twice and was lucky to shoot 50%.

Issue i have is that he rested all 5 of them at once for 6 minutes of a game right after a period where we were up 6 after a quarter shouldve been more but overall looked pretty comfortable barring a few to many TO IMO.

Then by the time he racted and brought all 5 back in we were behind or perhaps up by one at the point and all the rhythmn those starters had was lost..i agree need to rest the starters but a 5 for 5 swap when we have momentum not a good move

I said in our game thread that Armon Johnson looks like a player. He was talked about quite a bit here before the draft. Good find for you guys. Wish we got anything from our second rounders.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

Well, I definitely think Gooden should come off the bench and backup center. Brockman shouldn't play except for extreme foul trouble, blowouts, or injuries, and Bogut's power forwards are not getting enough minutes.

I was shocked at how aggressive LMA was in the post. It was pretty awesome to watch. Johnson made some lucky shots (and not so lucky shots, but everything was falling for him) but I hate him because he's keeping Mills off the court.
