Re: Stein: Strong possibility Bucks active due to slow star
A panic trade is almost a given. There is no way the Bucks view Asik as an asset to acquire and move, they will want him as their win now C.
The bright side is the schedule. Assume that the Bucks lose their next 2 and begin 4-18. They would have 60 games remaining with almost 1/2 (26/60) remaining against Western Conference teams. We are basically assured of a Sub 30 win team, although the chance of them screwing over our future in pursuit of that 30th Win is troubling

Rumor in Chicago is Deng's value right now is a 2nd round pick.
Someone has stockpiled plenty of those...

We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

Re: Stein: Strong possibility Bucks active due to slow star
This team may have built itself enough of a cushion for this season where a trade may not hurt them for this draft.
Buuuuut, the likelihood that a young guy gets dealt for a Deng or Asik is staggering, especially with Drew's line yesterday that it was his job to find time for Wolters to play.
I'm not sure there's anyone out there than can remarkably improve this team for this year. But Hammond and Kohl would be dumb enough to shed another potential young core piece in order to try.

All right! Looks like we can fire up the "win now" train!
I am too lazy this year to work the exact salaries, but I think these work:
Ersan for Asik
Udoh, Kratsov and two 2nds for Deng
Ridnour and 2nd for Jarrett Jack (salary dump move for Cleveland, so the Cavs can tank)

Moreover, can't wait til we trade for a player that we don't resign. Deng, Turner, etc.

OK Mr. Pressey, march to the bathroom and was your mouth out with soap. Make that Drano instead. Jeebeezus, I won't be able to sleep for a week after reading that.

Seriously, why in the hell would the management want to make any moves for this roster? This just screams panic move, which will end horribly.
If anything remotely close to this takes place.... My rather new found interest in the Bucks would instantly transform into fandom of Roller Derby, or Professional Dodgeball on trampolines....
I needs shades for this future thing we owning.....

Asik, deng, and Jack still don't make this a non-lottery team.
For once, I hope we are sellers. And, at this point, why not? Would be awesome for the future.

nothing about steins comment leads one to believe were under any illusion we should still be trying to win. and the idea we would give up any of our young guys right now is asinine.... exception being if we could somehow dump sanders of course.
im kind of excited. asiks deal coming back means maybe we could probably clear another vet contract back at the rockets. shame delfinos hurt. id imagine theyd take him anyway
There is literally nothing accurate about this post.

I have trouble seeing them deal Henson or Giannis but Sanders PR issues might make Kohl dump him irrationally. God help us all if our 1st is included.
I would also like to keep Wolters , he may not be our starting point of the future but would love to keep him as th back up .
it's always funny............... TILL I GET HURT!!!!

If the Bucks trade any of the "young assests",they may as well just play their home games in a high school gym, to accomodate the 300 fans that would show up! And looking at the BC now for games, that number is not that far off!!

If I could find a way to make that into a painting complete with gif motion I would pay all my money for it and take down my wedding photos so this painting could have the most noticeable spot on any of my walls.

I think they might. Asik immediately shores up the interior defense, which has been a sieve with the loss of Sanders, and might have been a sieve anyways even with a healthy Sanders.
Deng is on the downside, but he's 5x the player Caron Butler is at this point.
Jarrett Jack is like a rich-man's Gary Neal, who can actually win you games.
We are 4-16 now. 62 games left. I think those lineup changes could under PERFECT circumstances get us to a 31-31 finish, this a 35-47 record and the 8th seed. Remember, everyone is tanking and that will accelerate as we get into January.
Again, I note "perfect conditions" which likely wouldn't happen. But the dream is out there for Herb Kohl and the cronies, as we saw when we got Monta Ellis and JJ Redick.
