Wouldn't be surprised but I think Wiggins and Parker are almost locks to enter the draft. Especially seeing as Coach K has already said he expects Parker to enter the draft and Self has said something along those lines about Wiggins as well.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Embiid stay in school for one more year, just so he can develop a little more.

Uber-athletic 6'10 forward that's projected to go in the late 1st, but I'm thinking if he's there with our 2nd, he'd be a great "low-risk, high upside" guy to target.

He just got cleared to play and started up class Monday. He's easily gonna play his way into a top 10 pick. He's gonna be a narch madness shining star for Florida. Future NBA all-star IMO

Ford with an interesting comparison for Gordon:

Love his energy, athleticism and toughness. He's trying to make the transition from an undersized four man to a three and that's still a work in progress. Reminds me a bit of Andrei Kirilenko.

He'd be fun to watch next to Giannis.

I'm shocked to see people choose Parker over Wiggins. This will be an interesting thread to bump in a couple years.

Anyone know anything about Clint Capela? DX has him going 29th currently, 19 years old with impressive measurements

This is the most recent report on DX about him, but it is from Oct 2012

Strengths:
-Tremendous physical attributes
-Great frame
-Long arms
-Huge hands
-Terrific athlete
-Excellent timing as a rebounder. Goes after every loose ball with purpose
-Very quick first step
-Very good finisher around the rim
-Great potential defensively

Weaknesses:
-Hasn't accepted who he is yet as a player. Thinks he's a small forward
-Falls in love with his jumper, which is extremely streaky
-Average feel for the game
-Makes unforced errors
-Bad body language. Goes after his teammates

Outlook: Already seeing some playing time for Chalon, the Euroleague team from France. Possesses phenomenal physical tools. Can make a huge impact around the basket when dialed in. Has special rebounding instincts. Offensive game is very raw, but doesn't seem to understand that. Looks to have ample size to play the 4 at the pro level. Just needs polish up his skill-level and improve his basketball IQ and attitude.

In 10 games in the Eurocup this season he's averaged 11.2/6.5/1 block in 19.8 MPG on 71.8% shooting, with no 3's attempted. That type of FG% leads me to believe the thinks he's a small forward and falls in love with his jumpers concerns are no more, but I haven't been able to find much video on him.

Yeah, I anticipate that we'll see him play his way into the lottery conversation assuming Florida uses him correctly. The fact that he's incredibly raw and it being a deep draft class may cause him to fall a bit, but unlikely all the way to the 2nd round. If he's sitting in the 20s and we still have all three of our 2nd round picks available though, I wouldn't mind using those to move up and snag him. He's got loads of potential.

Funny, guess my question not crazy then. For some reason I think Parker is going to stay unless he's a top 2 pick no matter what. But if he has a decent to mediocre season and could potentially fall behind Wiggins, Embiid, Exum...I could see him sticking around.

let 'em stay, its likely we'll be bottom 5 next year as well.

+1. He took a car or 2 from boosters, but hey, he's paying the price and hopefully learned from it. Bullock was the tougher guy, but Hairston's got near perfect form on his 3 ball - it's a thing of beauty. If he works hard on his overall game, he's got a chance to be a really good swingman in the NBA.

I'm kind of disappointed Hairston isn't in the D-League yet.

I really wish UCLA would try him at the point - because he has some crazy ability - he's played the point in HS and is a terrific ball-handler. He's still a heckuva prospect at the 2, but if he could play the 1... wow.

I think UCLA has the 2 best shooting guard prospects for the 2014 draft in Lavine and Adams. People knock Adams for the same reasons they knocked Harden.

I'm not particluarly. Glen Rice Jr went there last year in a similar situation and fooled people into thinking he was a legit prospect. There's no defense or team play there - bad habits for a young player to accept. But he might as well go there to stay in basketball shape.

Didn't see a terrific athlete with a quick step in that video at all.

Any of you listening to 1250 wssp? They are talking about how Jabari Parker has been asking GM's around the league that if he went on his mission trip for two years, if it would affect his draft stock. That's scary to think he could possibly go on a trip forgoing the NBA for a couple seasons. Does that sway any of you guys to not take him if we had one of the top picks?
