I definitely wouldnt for Wiggins. I think he'll be a better player than Wiggins..

But say if we drafted Embiid at 2... and Philly called to swap Giannis for Parker... I think I'd do it.

Absolutely.

I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell a team with a Top 3 (or Top 4) pick in this year's draft would trade it for Giannis though.

For Parker and Wiggins? Nah. Think about what Giannis could have done in college where the game moves slower and he'd be the longest and most athletic player on the floor 90% of the time. I think he would put up numbers fairly comparable to both of those guys and would be in the conversation with Exum or at least Vonleh and Randle. Difference is that we've seen his flashes in the NBA and he's basically learning on the job despite being younger and less experienced than either of these guys.

For Embiid and Wiggins? Bye Giannis, I'll be rooting for you where ever you go.

I think this is a pretty simple yes. I love Giannis and hope he sticks around forever but hypothetically if this opportunity presented itself and we could have Parker and Wiggins instead of 1 and Giannis then I'd bite.

I think if ur expecting 13 6 2 1 1 on decent but not great shooting from Giannis in year 2 and u consider that "a jump", then getting similar, possibly (probably) better production from both Wiggins and Parker in year 1 makes it an easy swap IMO.

Anybody pointing to Giannis' production last year needs to remember how Larry Drew was 'using' him.

Huge NO. Giannis has a Special Passing ability that Parker and Wiggins could only dream of. Giannis may never be a gigantic scorer but he could be awesome at everything else.

I'm actually stunned anyone would trade Giannis for Parker or Wiggins.

I guess with Wiggins you could talk yourself into it because he at least projects to be an above average defender, but Giannis does too and Wiggins can't match his length.

I think Giannis could easily score 20 points a game. He can't be stopped when driving to the rim. If he were made a bigger part of the offense. His passing game is unreal. He is super athletic and a great guy. Not to mention exciting to watch.

I'm assuming that was projected towards me. I do agree with the overall point that statement makes. Drew is a hack of all hacks. No question. I'm not sure what to expect from Giannis next year and as of right now Drew is still the coach. I mean it's hard in the 1st place to let Giannis go even hypothetically, but I guess it comes down to how long u want to wait. Giannis is still much more raw entering year 2 than the rooks. It's plausible to think by year 5/6 that Giannis is the best player of the group because from what we saw last year he's easily the best overall prospect of the 3 in terms of complete game. But Wiggins and Parker will likely produce more in the meantime and there's no guarantee Giannis hits that Allstar level we hope. It's a roll of the dice regardless but I do see Giannis as a "risk" still.

I would only trade Giannis for Embiid.

I think he's going to give us so much more over the next season that you'd be crazy to trade him for anyone else but Embiid, who has the measurements and skillset that just don't come along that often.

Giannis is a better shooter, better passer, has better size and length, projects to be an excellent defender, only five months older than Parker and four months older than Wiggins.

I wonder if he would stand by this today, seeing as he tweeted that last December. I think it is a really close call of a decision, but as mentioned it does not really matter because Philly would not deal #3 straight-up for Giannis anyways.

Yeah truthfully at 1st it seemed simple but the more I think and think about it I already talked myself out of it by trying to justify the trade. I know I just said yes id trade him 10mins ago but I'm not going to delete my post so I'd rather just apologize for being silly. The Bill Simmons tweet helped bring me back to my senses.

Giannis for the #3 pick in the draft would be terrific value. I'd be heartbroken, but from a basketball only perspective it's easy to see who wins the trade.

I just want to think of Giannis as an Allstar already.

38-36 in favor of making the trade. But the comments are more against it, so I will try to even that out.

I wouldn't deal Giannis for Exum or Smart, who for me are 4/5 here. But for Wiggins or Parker?

Think for a minute guys. We are talking about two of the most transcendent teen hoops phenoms in the past decade. Is there a chance one of them busts? Sure. But it is very low. I'd put money that if they stay healthy both guys make at least one all star game apiece at a bare minimum.

And both Parker and Wiggins probably have more name recognition right now in Milwaukee than Giannis does and likely sell many more tickets on their own.

I don't think this is on the level of declining to trade Jennings for Chris Paul, but......

That said, if he turns into Magic Johnson, I'll happily eat the crow. I see prime Kirilenko, which is an excellent player, but I'd take my chances with Parker and Wiggins.

Paul, it's all even now. 38-38. :starwars

Also, had Giannis played high school ball over here, you don't think he'd be as hyped as Jabari or Andrew...or as highly recruited? Not saying he would, because nobody knows. I know that doesn't really matter, or have anything to do with your point. Just something to think about.

Parker can't defend, pass, and no true position.....good chance he will be a black hole when he touches the ball, wouldn't make that trade. I actually intrigued with Wiggins and Giannis as a duo, defensively could be dominant around the perimeter.

If we didn't have #2, I'd be all for this. But because we do, I am more inclined to keep Giannis and pair him with whomever we take. The caveat, I guess, would be if we get Embiid at 2. Then I would be more willing to flip Giannis for #3 and take whomever of the top 3 is left.
