8-3-3 over a 7-3-2 isn't exactly what i'd call a career year.

It's not always the box score.

If that were the case we would all be calling Giannis a bust.

you're right and thats true but aside from playing on a nearly all star caliber roster what is it that he did so special this year he didn't do in other years? I admit I didn't see many net regular season games but I did watch the majority of their playoff games. He came off average to me.

Marshall's under contract with the Lakers, but sure.

I really don't get the Marshall love. I mean, sure, he came in hot...but man he really really regressed. His shot became fairly inconsequential and his defense is just atrocious.

Who cares? He moves the ball. He can keep the locker room harmonious without costing us any losses.

We really just need a guy that plays defense, can hit an open shot, and doesn't demand or need the ball. Jabiannis will be handling the ball for the most part (fingers crossed).

I do. I watched the Lakers for long stretches in the 2nd half. Marshall's pedestrian PG play was a significant source of just a general distaste for his game in general. I'm assuming '...without costing us any losses' means help the tank? Anyhow, I'm not opposed to seeing Marshall I'm just not impressed with anything he does outside of making the easy pass look flashy.

As long as Kidd is teaching Giannis how to facilitate an offense I don't care who plays PG.

Shelvin Mack/Nate Wolters is the point guard combo I want to see run this team next season.

Why not Devin Harris?

He'd be a good patchwork guy for 2 years as a starter or a backup to Nate. He didnt have a bad season last year.. is an injury risk, but character is solid and he can still give quality minutes.

With all the talk of developing Giannis into a Point Froward type of player there isn't as big a need for a traditional Pg to run the show. If you don't see Giannis as a point forward in the future I get the whole wanting a "traditional" point to run the show but considering I think/want Giannis to start running the point on offence it's not a huge deal to me. Keep starting Knight starting at PG, Middleton at SG, Giannis as SF. Parker at PF, and Sanders at C. If you see Giannis running the point when we have the ball then Knight is a PG in label only. Then again it depends on how ready Kidd feels Giannis is to give him that type of workload

He seems like a great fit for you guys. Would Phil Pressy interest you guys? How about Norris Cole?

I still don't get why we had to give compensation. if they were for sure moving on from Kidd and we don't even get him at the contract they signed him to then what was the point? Couldn't we have just waited for them to cut him and sign him outright?

Wolters/Giannis, with Inglis enjoying a lot of point forward.

Marshall is only a band aid move for this season because he moves the ball around. We just need a PG to facilitate to the guys that need to get going - Parker and Giannis. Marshall can fit that role nicely while not winning us extra games with his individual play.

I don't want the Norris Cole, Brandon Jennings, Phil Pressey level PGs.

I'm interested in seeing what Coach Kidd can do with Brandon Knight, if we don't trade him. I don't know if vision can be taught, but if there ever was going to be a teacher, we have one of the the best.

I see the point. Though I roll in favor of Wolters and Giannis, a 3rd PG who actually facilitates movement would be a plus. In this light, I'd be fine w/ Marshall. Heck, I think I'd even be fine with Brian Roberts - not the passer Marshall is but relatively unselfish and a consummate energy player. I also wouldn't be surprised if we signed Livingston. I really wouldn't.
