Season finale of Dave was fantastic, they did a really good job of wrapping the season that some people were questioning.

The Palace doc was pretty good but nothing earth shattering with the “full footage” that was hyped. I was always on the players side and I think anyone with common sense would be. Pretty clear to me why anyone wouldn’t be on their side but that’s more of a GB current affairs topic.

I didn't know the Tinsley thing. Even Stephen Jackson was like, "Why would you do that?!"

I feel people didn't like the season because he was (purposefully) annoying and egotistical, which came to a head in that scene in Gata's house.

Haven't seen the doc maybe I should but I don't think what you're insinuating is fair, Artest and Jackson going into the crowd turned an on the court scuffle into a full on riot putting all the players at risk and having to fight their way off the court. Not excusing any bad actions done by the fans but I don't think you can excuse Artest or Jackson either, mental health problems or whatever be damned. I can't give Artest credit for deescalating laying on the scorers table away from Ben Wallace(who is also throwing **** at him btw) when he loses his **** a moment later when a plastic cup gets thrown by a fan he didn't even see so he goes and beats up some innocent bystander that's a foot shorter who didn't even throw it. I'm glad all of them have grown as people but pretending its a black and white issue where you side with one against the other doesn't make much sense, everybody is responsible for their own actions regardless of how they were "triggered".

Nobody is saying Artest was correct in what he did, but when the fans started attacking, and that's exactly what happened, the players had a right to defend themselves. Fans were throwing **** chairs at the players. One of them came down to the court and approached a player with a clenched fist.

I think the prosecutor did a great job of mapping out responsibility. Sure, everyone was at fault, but the media backlash was offensively one sided against the players. For reasons that we are not allowed to talk about on this board.
I know we have Stephen Jackson baggage here, but he was the star of that doc.

The fact still remains to me that Artest and Jackson were the ones that went into the crowd first and provoked the riot, that's a lot worse than yelling fire in a crowded theater I think and they're lucky it didn't end up with anybody dead or seriously injured.

The fan that hit Artest with his drink was literally charged with provoking the riot, but ok.

Artest and Jackson probably should have been charged with that too honestly but ironically enough their privilege as millionaire NBA athletes is probably what prevented that, the Rubicon was crossed when they entered the crowd and I'd like to hear how that was "defending themselves". If Artest doesn't "defend himself" against a plastic cup by going into the crowd to fight random fans then the riot doesn't happen, simple as.
People **** all over Detroit and Pistons fans too, I don't know what people are remembering.

The documentary is based a real event that a lot of us have a pretty good memory of but do you think there is anything in the documentary that's going to change my opinion to Artest not being the primary person responsible for the riot? The Pacers players don't think it was their fault? Shocking.
