You must have been watching a different game than me. Charlotte shot less than 30% on threes and less than 40% overall. The defense wasn't the problem. It was the offense.

One of my biggest gripes are players who aren't self aware and this game highlighted it:

1) Donte can't shoot and yet he continues to hoist threes that aren't even in the same zip code as the basket. You'd think after the first few he'd stop. Pat has been off on his shot even before the covid. When you're off, be aware and don't take the shot. Get it to someone who is shooting better that night.

2) Khris continues to turn the ball over thinking he can dribble, when he can't. Getting 11 assists is great, but not at the expense of turning the ball over 7 times. Be aware of your weaknesses.

My next biggest gripe are coaches who let players get away with not being self aware. Ham should have told Donte to stop shooting. They win the game without Donte and Pat. They came back too soon.

Every Giannis missed jump shot should count as an unforced turnover. Khris was terrible outside of the fourth. We can realistically be the 5th seed in 2 weeks.

Next game we play a team that had one of the best runs in American sports history, but still plays like they have something to prove every night. While we coast and play half a game with energy and get fat in a terrible division and easiest schedule in the league.

Maybe they get up for this game because it national tv or whatever but that just makes the bad losses even worse. Injuries or not, this team has underachieved up to this point.

You can care about the regular season and seedings as much as you want to but pretty crazy that we've now lost more games than the Sixers and have as many loses as Toronto. Team has a ton of legitimate excuses but we've also lost too many games with 2 of the top 3 guys fit and healthy for my liking.

Inexplicable lack of urgency that is organization-wide at this point. You can coast against teams like this when you are capable of coming back and winning. That is not this team right now, but they still come out in drifting mode. It's really frustrating because we've seen the highs that the best guys are capable of. But they're just not consistently hitting even their median when they just loaf around for 25 minutes and expect to make up for it in 7.

We stayed in the zone WAY too long. Plus Pat & Donte combined went 0/14 from the field. That’s the game right there.

I can’t believe there are posters here who think Mamu isn’t ass.

Dude is clumsy as hell & falls at the slightest amount of contact. The only good plays he makes seem to happen by accident.

Turnovers suck either way....and my last post stated everyone is to blame.

Most of Giannis' turnovers are attacking the rim and going through 2-3 defenders...while most of Middleton's are unforced. He had two in a row where nobody was even close to him while he was on the 3 pt line.

Nwora was bringing it up because he was the best ball handler on the floor. You want Middleton to have even more turnovers? Nwora had 1 turnover in 30 plus minutes.

Being short on guards kind of forced over exposure of Pat and Donte on their return. The alternatives aren't better either. Covid sucks.

Pat being in the wrong spot was killer. No explanation for that.

Honestly loved the play. Just poorly executed. Giannis makes that pass/patty is in a better spot 80% of the time. Give me a 40%+ 3 point shooter wide open in the corner for the win every game.

even with coach Bud,
we rarely run any plays or offensive sets.
its been a complaint of mine since wev hired him.
i know most of the nba jsut goes PnR, and spot up 3p shooters.
but, once in a while, and with the best player in the nba, u should run some sets that have multiple options.

plus, Bud has been here with the main core long enough, that they should have plays everyone knows how to run, and somebody can just call it out and they run it.
