Re: Bud Fired
Brought us a championship and for that I will always be grateful. He also seems like a great guy but unfortunately this decision needed to be made.
I wish him well.

Or another fresh mind comes in and brings this team even farther than bud did dont think its a average roster at all maybe fresh ideas to this exact roster brings even more success

I think the Khris/Brook decisions will be made by Edens and Haslam. It's all about how much they're willing to spend.
ETA, they just ate $16 million of Bud's contract
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I expect we have a new coach within a week.

Re: Bud Fired
****, this is tough. It's hard to overstate how legitimate our teams became once Bud came on board and I never thought we'd get a title in my lifetime. I had this thing where I'd be beyond ready to can him when the team couldn't put together an offense during the playoffs, but then we did so well during the next regular season I would completely change course. Guess it had to end at some point, but it's still a bummer.

Re: Bud Fired
I honestly did not think this would happen.
Mixed bag. I wanted him more than anyone and we got him and we won a championship with him.
Buck for life. Best wishes to him and his family in this difficult time.
It was time for a new voice/approach.

I think it's the right call but I'm not celebrating or anything. I'm sad it had to end like this. He was at the helm for our first title in 50 years and he will always be remembered fondly for that, at least to me.

Re: Bud Fired
It won't come out until months later because it's personal but I won't be surpriced if it was mutual because Bud needs time off and to stay off the court for a season. Other coaches do it for less serious reasons.

Yep, I don't expect him to be coaching until 2024 at least

Agree to disagree here, but I suppose it’s possible.

Re: Bud Fired
Bud was our Kerr and set the winning culture. It was ugly how we lost but we should not have done this unless someone like a Popovich or Kerr himself was available. This is not a young roster, and bud got the best out of the talent he had to work with. This is the beginning of the end. With Giannis and Bud we’ll always have a chance. Kerr had years in the lottery and he didn’t get sacked because he is doing something sustainable.

Re: Bud Fired
Just thinking out loud on coaches in the playoffs
Any interest in Doc or Monty? I think both are liley out if they lose this round.
Malone-If he loses this round he's out. Up 2-0 unlikely
Mazzulla/Darvin/Thibs I can't see it.
Spo/Kerr we can only pray but it ain't happening

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

Not calling that timeout at the end of the fourth quarter was so egregious, I'm sure Bud was broken up about it, just messing up like that from a point of professional pride, and also the importance of the moment of the mistake, compounded by the grief and the stress and sleepless nighs.
As angry as I was at Bud after Game 5, the more I've thought about his situation and what he must have endured during that time, the more my fury was replaced with a kind of sad understanding.
I hope this thread reflects that more than anything - an appreciation of Bud as a human being, imperfect as he is, and a celebration of all the good things he helped bring and create in Milwaukee.

Doc is still riding the coat tails of that Boston 'chip.
Monty would be a much better fit. Can't see PHX dismissing him even if Denver knocks them out. They will give him next season (with an offseason including KD) before he gets the sack.

If the Lasry's were still around I'd have put money on them hiring Hammon.
