Nice to put the Bulls one game closer to being sellers.

Good to get a win but we’re still losing the minutes with Dame, Beas and Lopez out there.

I’m optimistic about Dame coming around. Beas is replaceable but looking increasingly like Brook is out of place in how Griff wants to play. Still very early in the season but not looking great.

Edit: looked up the numbers. Brolo, dame and Beas have logged 158mins together this year so far. O rating of 98 and D rating of 114. -16 overall. Big big oof.

Jackson Jr. had a brain fart and passed out for a three instead of dunking it on that baseline drive, other than that I love his energy and defensive presence and pressure.

I think at this stage he probably feels like he needs to defer more on offense so i dont fault him as much for that.

To me it appeared that he wasn't ready for that pass and instead of blowing the layup, he just got rid of the ball.

His screen for Pat's corner three in the third is something I haven't seen us do before. He set it up a fair way out too, I really like that.

He had a back brace on in the 4th, which you guys may have discussed already. Maybe that's why we aren't seeing him more.

After the last loss we had 7+ pages the first hour. After this win we're on page 3 in hour 3

Giannis had 3 great games. Khris played really well today but he somehow appeared fragile. Dame seemed somewhat listless today but that is probably due to not wanting to strain his calf; it would be nice if he could create a bit more for others. Portis finally started shooting his long range shots like before; that was a treat to watch.

Those three out there in anything besides a zone defense is just a death sentence.
You can hide Dame if he’s the only bad defender.
You can’t hide Beas under any circumstances because he is so awful on ball and just stands around a lot off ball.
You can make Brook insanely useful but only in drop if your guards can fight through or around screens.

Then on offense teams are just going to leave Beas and Brook open from three to send bodies at Dame and whoever else. Beas will miss enough and pass up enough wide open looks to do stupid stuff that he won’t hurt you. And Brook is just as likely to take awful 28 footers as he is to be cooking. Doesn’t help that Beas and Brook are also not good at attacking closeouts.

They either need a new coach or need to move Brook. He doesn’t fit the system and they can’t use him effectively in drop with the current roster.

Dre's already one of the smartest players in the league. He was like 3 passes ahead of this.

Positives:
- This team is so much better when AJJ is out there. He does all the little things insanely well like getting every loose ball, offensive boards, setting screens better than anyone on the team, moving the ball. Need to find a way to get him above 20mpg
- Midds still looks awesome when he plays, even looking really good on D despite not having a ton of lateral quickness. He just knows how to use his length to make plays on D like the steal on the post pass to Vuc
- Even when he isn’t hitting his shots, the team is better with Dame out there as long as he isn’t paired with Beas and Brook
- Giannis is back to being a monster, even had a couple nice plays catching the ball in the roll from Dame
- I do like the logo screens being set for Dame and Giannis. Give them a runway and they are very difficult to stop.

Negatives:
- The other two Bulls SEGABABAs were 16 and 22 point losses for them. They are a bad team, so beating them by 9 in this situation is not impressive.
- For the love of god, could someone please explain why Beas is still in the starting lineup? At least he got benched after that DD pass to the corner three after two or three offensive rebounds because if you go back and watch Beas on that play, it’s hilarious how little he does
- AJ Green still buried in the bench. Could he be any worse defensively than Beas or Pat?
- I’m still unsure what the defensive system is besides be aggressive and run around like maniacs in rotation as soon as someone gets beat.
- I’m also unsure what the offensive system is. They have some actions they like to run but the spacing ranges from excellent (two shooters in the corners on the first play of the game) to awful (no one spaced outside the three point line).
- This really felt like a win based on the schedule and talent. The system isn’t any better than the Bulls dumb system.

Beasley is a conundrum. His counting stats look fine: 8/4/1.5 in 25mins a game and shooting just under 40% from three.

But we’re losing badly the minutes when he’s on the court. His net rating is -13.1. Somehow Brook is even worse at -13.8.

It’ll be interesting to see what some of the impact metrics like RAPM say about our guys once they’re out.

Not sure why Griffin found it necessary to close the game with Lopez and Beas? Those line ups weren't working tonight.

Maybe he was thinking the game was sealed and wanted to build some confidence with Beas, but AJJ earned some closing minutes tonight.

Didn't think I'd be saying this to start the season, but the TOR game will be a good test.

It’s not a conundrum. He’s legit terrible on defense but can put up empty stats if you leave him out there long enough. He’s a worse shooting Jordan Nwora with slightly better shot selection.

Brook’s net rating will be awful if he keeps getting paired with Dame and Beas and Pat. He’s awful in aggressive man to man. He’s fantastic in drop of your guards can pursue from behind. He’d be fine if they focused his minutes with Marjon or AJJ taking the toughest D assignment at the POA. It will never work with Malik “Jrue Holiday” Beasley on the floor with him. I wish AG could realize that. How did AG get a PhD while being this dumb?

Based on half the board's basketball opinion success ratio like Giannis being washed after two bad games, holding Dame down because of his ego, being lucky to have signed his contract because he is not a superstar anymore, Marjon's preseason was a fluke etc then by the end of the season Adrian Griffin will be the favourite for coach of the year.
We are blessed!
