Against teams like Indy that have a shooting 5, I'm not sure Brook can play with Dame and Beas out there. Either Hali kills you in the Brook iso, or he kills you driving down hill hitting the open roll man.

It's not really Brook's fault, but we prob should be playing Giannis at the 5 (at least in the closing stages) vs teams like this (Boston too). We need Jae back too (and a version of him that can play defence).
Not a good sign if our chances of winning hinge on ways to maximize Brook. And I like Brook.

This teams needs some dogs on defense and fast.

Griff has the Bucks aggressively blitzing the ball which is making the defense even worse. I don’t feel bad for him at all. He’s a system guy who refuses to adapt to his personnel. We have been doubling guys at half court this season lmao.

Bobby needs to be relegated to the Thanasis role. Great culture guy but he's unplayable against most teams. Bad things happen whenever he comes in.

That's why you sign an athletic back up big instead of Rolo.

Can't be turned off when he's apart of it.

Yeha man, shame on Giannis that he cannot defend all 5 positions at once while scoring 40 and playing for 41 minutes.

It's a team effort and the system clearly doesn't work. I expect him to become vocal about it. The first target is Griffin but we don't know the dynamics when there is another superstar in the team. Hopefully Lillards ego doesn't get hurt. But I guess it's the time to show if he's still the alpha dog in this team.

One more reminder that we had the chance to let Brook ride off into the sunset with a $60 million payday from Houston, but we chose to bring him back along with his worthless brother for a coach who seemingly had no intention on using him properly.

And furthermore, I submit the Bucks must fire Adrian Griffin.

Lost due to transition D, Payne being horrible and mad inconsistency from Midds/Dame

Turns out Giannis being on ball a good chunk of the time is a good thing.

If tired Giannis goes bully mode in the end and misses 2 buckets the entire board would go ham on him of being selfish and not letting Dame be Dame. They had no answer for him, they started doubling him at the 3p line, he made the "correct" decision and we missed our wide open 3s from our best shooters. It wasn't our night. You shrug it off and continue. It's a miracle we are even alive with this kind of defense against the best offenses in the NBA...

I wonder if our poor spacing was partly to blame for it but a super weird Dame game on offense. Really struggled to get anything going inside the three point line.

I don't discount what you say re the blitz, but in the final Q there we were playing a pretty standard switching defence. If Beas and Dame are gonna die on every screen, then we need guys who can capably switch onto someone like Hali. Brook can't do that. So we prob need to play someone like Jae or a capable wing defender for these exact spots. Griff isn't gonna bench Dame due to his D so he needs to play defenders who are capable in switching situations.

You can bet a team like the Celts in just gonna run Tatum/Porzingis (or Horford) PnRs on us all day long.

I guess if you consider Brook our best 3 pt. shooter.

Oh, brother. I'll take him just knowing where the ball is on defence at this point. The amount of times he's just standing there not offering any help or jogging back unbothered by anything is insane.

i'm more annoyed than anything. completely obvious that the best way for the Pacers to win this game is to be the more physical and intense team and do all the little things. even conceding that we weren't going to meet their level of intensity, all you have to do is just not toss lazy passes when you know they are itching to jump on one. protect the ball, play smart offense, do your best on defense, and that's a win. instead, they played like front runners. i hope this is a lesson to them.
