Fun(?) fact.
This was Giannis' 4th game all time, when he had at least 14 fga (18) with no free throws awarded.
Their defense must have been real good on him.

All in all, it was a b2b and we played hard yesterday, but still it sucks. Shooting disparity and what not. On to the next one.
Also, Dame has got to be better at some point, it's getting sad, for him and for us.

Really hope we can get some good training done over the all star break.

Maybe Dame just needs some time off, too bad he's an allstar starter. We need Khris back after the allstar break, and Pat C on the bench. Jae and AJJ take all of Pat C's minutes?

I thought something similar. Last time he had no FT's was last March against (coincidentally) the Heat, where he was injured and played 6 minutes.

We definitely do have a Heat problem though.

Good thing we spent all day wringing our hands that the national media was disrespecting Giannis for MVP.

Probably poorly articulated, I meant to convey, that it was something to salvage the night. Coming from grief it's still so refreshing, and I liked what he had to say :D

Watching Dame playing basketball in a Bucks uniform reminds me of a guy who is being reluctantly dragged to a theater by his wife or girlfriend to watch a chick flick. He'll go, but he doesn't really want to be there and it's obvious that his head and his heart isn't into it.

I said it the 1st week of November and I will say it again now almost 4 months later. Dame's problem is he doesn't want to be here. I also don't think Dame is a guy who is serious about winning a championship, he says he is and he talks a big game, but his actions speak a lot louder than his words.

Dame was hell bent on going to Miami because he was about to get a divorce and he wanted to go party and bang models.

But he ended up in Milwaukee.

This isn't that hard to figure out.

I don't think Dame is consciously thinking I'm going to shoot 7-26 and give 0 effort on defense because I would rather be partying Miami.

But his head and his heart just isn't into it, it's obvious. It was obvious to me by the 1st week of November.

Even last summer, long before there was any thought of Dame being traded to the Bucks, I thought it was actually really odd that Dame was so hell bent on being traded to Miami and no where else. I could see Miami being on a list, but why only Miami?

Obviously, I know why now.

The only hope is that maybe Dame at least sucks it up and actually plays like Dame in the playoffs. I doubt it though.

I too saw what appeared to me as lack of interest in playing here early in the season. I even mentioned that his “body language “ didn’t look good to me by which I meant that he looked very disinterested. There were replies saying that his demeanor has never been enthused type and so on. So I kept quiet hoping that those who wrote that were right. Today I continue to wonder what the truth is.

Good point. I am guessing that he has probably never played with multiple time All Stars in his earlier team, let alone with another superstar.

Watching Dame always reminds me of Barkley talking about his decline as a player on a podcast I can’t remember. While he said he still had the big games in him, what he couldn’t do is back it up every night.

Dame seems to have hit a similar stage of his career. Still an excellent player but he doesn’t look like he has it physically anymore to bring it every game. Hopefully he’s keeping as much as possible in the tank for playoffs.

Speaking of Barkley, makes me think of one of my favorite Barkley quotes because it's so true.

The game of basketball is easy, and when you play with other great players, it's even easier.

Playing next to Giannis, Dame should be absolutely thriving and having one of his best seasons.

Another possible reason for his decline is that he used to often slash to the hoop and frequently had defenders getting called for fouls. I have heard that those kind (I think they mean the Harden kind of fouls where he bends his body to create an artificial contact) of fouls are rarely being called by nba referees this season.

Doc Rivers. This is the easist money I ever made. Prunty could have done the same thing. Anyone having any confidence in the playoffs is out of thier mind.

I've just about run out of patience with Dame. I've been trying to be optimistic because I never considered him a superstar or Top 75 guy, but I definitely thought he was a star who would be a perfect #2 on a championship team. Yes I get the personal stuff but he is not the only player to experience this. Kobe was falsely accused of rape and losing endorsements left and right, and he was playing his best basketball, in the playoffs no less. If the Bucks win, I think going to be a carry job by Giannis, of a declining Dame, as I think its possible he's also lost a step.

People were saying this was Shaq/Kobe. This reminds more of situation where another Trailblazer out of his prime, joined a Nigerian who was the best player in the league. So, yes this reminds more of Hakeem/Drexler. We will need Giannis to Hakeem for the Bucks to win the title. Because Dame isn't even the best guard in the East. Can you imagine who good the Bucks would be with Brunson? LOL I can't believe I would have said this before the start of the season. At least Brunson can run an offense and not turn the ball over.

Don't mean to bash Dame, but I'm definitely frustrated.

Don't blame the crowd I could feel they were just exhausted during a b2b.

It's rough on the fans too.

Dame isn't getting enough elevation on his 3p shots. You can literally see the difference in games when he's hitting and when he isn't. Idk the why, that's for the Bucks and Dame to figure out.

Any chance the 3 pt contest is what Dame needs to get out of his slump?
