Re: PG Hornets - 4 Straight
I'm trying to block out the decision-making & effort the last 2 games in protecting a lead, to make getting there in the 1st place the predominant focus, but the coach in me can't just ignore it.
It's fundamental stuff - don't hold the basketball in front of the opponent so they can grab it, try to catch a board, get back in transition d, don't take early shots, etc. And in Doc's case he keeps leaving Giannis on the bench after TO's even. Got to clean it up.

Remember when Bill Simmons declared Scoot a guaranteed star and that taking Miller over Scoot would haunt Charlotte forever....after he played 4 minutes of his first half of Summer League?

Was just about to comment. How the hell have they played 4 games less than us and even 5 less compared to some other teams?
What is this schedule?

I recall KOC having Miller #1 that cycle, funnily enough.

Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

Being from Toronto I watched him every night. I knew he'd come on, he wasn't even playing even close to what he's capable of early in the season.

You'd said he'd be our 3rd best player, and instead he's our 3rd best SG. It's cool he's found his 3 ball, he'll get open looks playing with Giannis, but he's below replacement level and is nothing more than a catch and shoot player.

Yeah, I thought the timeout at 5:43 was to get Giannis back in, I assumed he was waiting at the table. Nope.

It could also be that being up 20 with 7 left they were maybe, just maybe hoping Giannis didn’t have to come back in lol. You know, save him for once?! Lol

Meh, I said "on track" and guess what, I count that he plays tough physical D as part of the equation. It's on track

Exactly... like are there zero coaches on the side yelling slow down and protect the ball?

Re: PG Hornets - 4 Straight
That was Doc and his rotations nearly blowing it for us in the end. Just like the last game against Charlotte when he left Giannis off until 5 mins to go, he was worse tonight with Giannis (comes in with just 3:52 remaining). He needs to come back in sooner. Ice the game, then put him back out. Don't try to gamble in keeping him off the whole 4th quarter and realizing too late that he has to come back in. Doc's 4th quarter rotations have not been great.
