Lol yeah those are the very best teams in the NBA, unlike Orlando. And those 4 middle games, outside cup hangover & bad season start, were basically stalemates. Plus we were the ones missing players. I didn't say we're better w/ 1-2 of our own stars.

Again, don't know how a shooting coach can watch Giannis bend his knees and then stand completely straight back up before doing anything with his arms and trying to throw it in, but here we are I guess.

Bucks win and Knicks, Magic, Celtics (probably doesn't matter, but still), Sixers all lose. Good night standings wise. Would've been cool if the Warriors were less ass and beat the Pacers but I'll take 4/5 East playoff teams losing.

I don't even know what we're debating here. I said the Bucks were an up and down team and the Magic are missing 2 of their best players which is the case.

We're debating whether the Bucks rise to the level of the comp to a point, and I'm on the side that says yes, you're no.

If they have Franz or Suggs, I'm arguing the Bucks win by more, based on how the season has went. Maybe if they have all 3 it's a similar game, because at some point high quality is tougher to overcome, but they aren't the Cavs or Boston.

That's just so many of our games against tougher teams. We've played them 6 times & it's creating a lot of false narratives, especially if one ignores the context of those games, like who we were missing, & how tight the games were.

Great win, but a better offensive coach would have Dame and Giannis running through the league right now. Just gotta pray those guys don't run themselves into the ground carrying this team to the 4-seed.

We were awful on so many defensive possessions. The number of times that instead of switching, both guys follow the one player leaving the other wide open. Also, Dame and Bobby both guilty of literally just running away from the guy they're guarding leaving them wide open for a shot. Our defense around the perimeter is really sub-par.

It's also criminal that in 19 minutes of play, AJ Green only has one 3-point attempt.

Quality road win.

But Giannis and Dame need that help. Wish Trent and Green could be more consistent players.

Ajax has to be removed from the starting lineup. 0 pts, -7 in 13 minutes. This has been a trend. His net rating's going in the tank because the book's out that he can't or won't score, & he's taking on the challenge even less.

I think Green's the choice, but I will say Trent's in form on 0, more consistent there, & he's turned up the D. Not as good as Green normally, but he was much better tonight. Was hounding whoever got switched onto him. Big kudos. Only 3 pts, but a threat, low usage, & d gives him x-factor of the game. Doc went w/ the hot hand, & made the right call.

I think they occasionally get up for big games, sure.

Id say it's a crazy argument that he Bucks win by more if the Magic had their best players. I've watched the Bucks all season. We're every bit as good as our record shows currently which is probably good enough for the 4th or 5th seed in the East.

Would definitely help to have any big out there other than Brook or Bobby. A Scott Williams type, if you will. Kurt Thomas was the newer iteration

It's definitely more than an occasion. I laid it out after last game. It's fairly predictable, based on who they play.

I know you want to fit this narrative cuz you've argued the team's done and you want to tear it down for role players around Giannis, but it's self-evident in Dame's style, Giannis' comments about playoffs being almost all he cares about & the Cup win, for examples, that they coast a lot, then get up based on the situation.

Giannis was great, he’s the best he’s ever been.

Could you imagine if Giannis was a 90% ft shooter?
He'd be averaging 35 easily right now.
But yeah, it's really weird how he's almost a 50% midrange shooter right now and a 59% ft shooter.

Thoughts:

1) With 20 seconds left and the Bucks with the ball, I think Doc took Giannis out. I didn't see him on the court, but the Bucks announcers didn't say anything. Brook got fouled and then Giannis reappeared. If I'm right, I don't blame Doc. If I'm wrong, I blame Doc.

2) Green needs to be told to take some two point shots. He's too easy to guard against a good defensive team. He needs to drive and pop, like a mini Middleton.

3) Bucks shot 52% to the Magic 43%. Bucks shot 36% on threes, yet still almost lost. A few more Giannis free throws would have helped but the offense wasn't bad.

4) Middleton wasn't bad, but he's far from being a third wheel on a playoff team right now.

Lol my only comments in the last month are about how the roster is probably not going to change. I've only suggested playing Green/GTJ mlre. I don't think I've ever suggested trading Dame for role players.

And by "done" if you mean done contending. Yeah, we are. That's done with this group unless you expect Giannis to be literally perfect.

We have a dumb coach that tells the players to do dumb things.
