This may be worse than the Luka trade value wise. It’s not because Luka is Luka but this is honestly insane. WTF Horst has to be pissed about not going to Detroit and is tanking the team it’s the only thing that makes sense. Giving up AJ Johnson on top of it is **** insane.

Yep, I was coming to grips with Middleton for Kuzma. But drafting a guy like AJ Johnson who wasn't going to help this year at all, but there was hope he could become a good player in a year or two. Then trading AJ Johnson as a throw in for this trade is crazy.

Why did we have to give up AJ Johnson? I wasn't sold on him but still seems like giving up a young asset for nothing.

Guessing we had to give up AJ to convince Washington to make it a 2031 pick swap instead of just giving them the 2031 pick outright.

Obviously if Horst agreed with 99% of you guys and thought Kuzma was ****, we wouldn't have. We view Kuzma as an upgrade while also ducking the apron.
