Either Bobby or Lopez and Pat C have to go to Doc-proof the roster

Bobby and draft for Marcus Smart. Terrible.

Yeah no thanks. We’re a team that struggles to rebound, not sure how trading our 2nd best rebounder for an injured guard helps much. Trent, Jackson, Green and even Rollins provide enough that Marcus Smart is far from a necessary target.

Yeah, if they can’t get Cam or KD, rather than wasting assets on Smart, I’d just go trade PatC and a second for Martin. He’s actually still a good defender, isn’t hurt all the time, and won’t decide he needs to take shots away from Dame/Giannis.

Feels like Nets or Hawks are the only 2 left to trade from.

Bucks: Cam Thomas
Nets: Beauchamp and Livingston

That’s fine. I want Cam Johnson or Hunter.

Don't be surprised to see Brook and Pat be the package out tomorrow.. BP at 29 yrs old might have done enough to show he's ready to take the reins at C with Sims and GA getting some min there.

Telling is we didn't pick a KM trade that packaged BP and Brook hasn't been as integrated offensively in that he just stays at the top and his shots seem out of the flow compared to BP.. We won't get as many blocks without Lopez and he's a great culture guy but this may be the direction... we kept bp over pj.. does history repeat?? We shall see

Just a note for if DS gets bought out.. he was also on that bubble championship team with Kuzma.. hope they are besties and they try to get a 2nd one together here.. DS gives us a huge boost.. handles all backup PG duties easy and bolsters our guard rotation wherever he fits in .. very fast and creates tons of organized chaos -- which we need -- a hole on D which we also need

Really dire state of affairs when the board has to delusionally talk themselves into Kyle Kuzma becoming a smart and efficient basketball player out of absolutely nowhere. I know there’s no choice now but I’ve never seen worse talent evaluation and asset management continue to linger. I just don’t know what FO wakes up and thinks Kuzma is the missing piece. Not a good one.

All Jimmy, LaVine, Ingram that got traded required a FRP from their teams to pull the trigger. I believe Horst did the right thing not putting that 2031 FRP on tha table for those guys. He could easily pick one if he did.

I also think Horst was right to flip Midds for Kuzma and insert some needed size and athletisicm to this team. It's still mind blowing that he couldn't pull this off without including Johnson. Midds + 2031 SRP for Kuzma should have been enough.

Moving Brook now for another athletic role player makes sense. I guess there are two scenarios at this point.

A) Who is good enough to sacrifise that 2031 FRP along with Lopez?
B) What's the best you can get with a 40ish pick in 2025 and 2031 SRP?

Cam Johnson looks like a Plan A guy, Grant and Hunter come to mind as Plan B guys. Who else is there left?

My expectations for Kuz are so low that there’s at least a lot of upside

For those that want to pick up Schroeder off waivers or as a FA we can’t do it.

I could see us do something maybe like this:
Mavs get: Brook, and AJ Green
Spurs get: Portis, and Patty C.
We get: D.Gafford, N.Marshall, D.Exum, K.Johnson, C.Bassey, 26 2nd via Philly from spurs

Exam can back up Dame. Keldon could start at the 2, Gafford could start at the 5, N.Marshall backs up Kuzma, Bassey plays a few minutes a game as a backup center.

I feel like we already acquired our lob threat big in Simms now.

So Butler and Ingram both go for prices we could have beaten.

I cannot fathom that the front office thinks we are good now.

Btw what on earth is Toronto doing? Why would you spend draft assets on a guy like Ingram? Barnes is not who they hoped and they are one of the least talented young cores in the nba. They need to be tanking and acquiring as many picks as possible until they find a true 1A player.

Just completely fumbled the Bruce Brown asset too. That guy had real juice when he got to Toronto and they just refused to deal him apparently
