National Media probably wants him to stay to make sure he gets the jobs done of destroying the franchise for the next 50 years.

Bill Simmons usually knocks coaches all the time but I don't remember him mentioning Doc in a bad way once. I wonder why....

Giannis, unfortunately, seems to be enjoying working with Doc. Not surprising, as he is as hands-off as it gets and has the NBA playing career paired with his Celtics championship. Checks all the boxes for him, and I am afraid he is not smart enough to realize just how much Doc held this team back.

Now, a poll I want to see is everyone's preference of Doc vs. Kidd!

I think if Dame did not get hurt, Doc would have been canned. But now that we are most likely not legitimate contenders next year, ownership isn't going to light more cash on fire by paying Griffin, Doc and the new guy all at the same time for a team whose ceiling is probably the second round.

As a fan, I hate it. As a realist, I get it.

Giannis is so affable he'd get along with a pet rock. It's a gift and a challenge.

If Doc is back next year you might as well trade Giannis now. That is such a waste of another prime year with Giannis.

Plot twist: Horst insists on the Jumbo lineup and finally allowed Doc to go with Giannis + shooters and guards.

Amusing thought.

It's depressing every time I refresh Twitter and don't see anything about Doc being fired. We're stuck with that loser.

It is kinda hilarious that the only two coaches that have effectively gotten Giannis to stop taking threes were Kidd and Doc.

Doc obviously isn't getting fired. Hopefully, HOPEFULLY they are working on bumping him upstairs and defining what his role/responsibilities will be. It would be our (bad) luck that they do that and then just promote Ham. Rinse and repeat.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I wonder if he’d offer the job to Cassell.

Cassell is interesting. He's regarded as a good assistant but he's been an assistant for 17 years (9 years with Doc, 8 years without) and has never got a HC gig. Some are just better suited to being assistants (Grief, Ham). But I always liked Sam.

Maybe Giannis likes him? That's really the only reason I can see him being brought back.

I'm officially worried that they're going to keep Doc, which would be an objectively idiotic thing to do. They should have shown him the door by now.

Yea that's why I'm in favor of Doc being shamed publicly and then ejected into outer space. That should keep him out of the coaching staff room.imo
