Well RealCavsfans forum now coming around to idea of maybe accepting a Bucks trade.

http://realcavsfans.com/community/index.php?threads/welcome-isaiah-thomass-injured-hip.48253/page-60

Middleton, Brogdon and Maker for Kyrie, Osman, Schumpert.

Uh no.

ETA: BTW, I wish we could interact with the Cav's forum on RGM but that forum is very inactive. The real action takes place at RealCavsFans.

I am so mixed on the Kyrie trade. I want CLE to void trade/get more since I think BOS tried to screw them on the trade but am scared that we would be dumb enough to trade for Kyrie and would rival the Allen for GP move in terms of stupidity.

Cleveland fans and the sports world in general would come around on the Bucks proposed trade once the analytics writers judge the trade.

Regarding the Payton trade, Payton was approaching 35. Kyrie is 25 coming off his best season.

I know Kyrie is a good player.

However, why bother bringing him in, i’d rather have the Brooklyn pick in a 3-way.

Kyrie would just leave here in 2 years, we all know it. So, WHY.. I hope ya’ll understand our championship window starts in about 3 years.. it isn’t now. After he leaves, and the cupboard is more bare and we waste key depth and a shot at a All-Star in Thon. Giannis could take a look at it and say, its my turn to leave too after Kyrie left. No one wants that, so dont even bring that dynamic into the organization. Build slowly, build for the long term, build for the next 10 years. Not the next 2 and the 4 seed.

It’s silly to trade young / loyal/ high upside guys away like Maker for a guy that is a 2 year rental. Because we all know that’s what it would be.

No to Kyrie... Yes to 3-way for Brooklyn pick (for Brogdon/1st) or Middleton.

No reason to be mixed. It would be a bad deal for the Bucks.

If they can swing a 3 way and get the brooklyn pick.. that makes much more sense.

Cleveland fans know he has one foot in LA or NY with 2 years to go.

That wouldn’t change with a trade to MKE either.

Hang on, so we should trade for a pick who could probably turn out to be a player who isn't as good as Kyrie?

I'd take my chances with Kyrie and hope we can attract another top player.

Well yeah. If I had the choice out of the Brooklyn pick, keeping Brogdon and Middleton or Kyrie then Kyrie is number three on the list.

He's a dynamic scorer no doubt but you're giving up a ton of defense and not to mention chemistry. Yeah we probably push 50 wins with Kyrie but the east is so bad I think we are approaching that anyway.

I'll take my chances on a rookie, who I expect to be better than Kyrie, who we will have under control for 8 seasons over Kyrie who has a good chance of leaving in free agency before the Bucks are ever a championship contender.

While you wait for a possible #5 pick to get to Kyrie's level ... say goodbye to Giannis and thank him for the memories.

I'm still not sold on how good Kyrie actually is but I would feel a lot more confident building a great team with Kyrie than I would a pick.

If you want to guarantee Giannis leaves, trade away his best teammate (Middleton) and watch Kyrie leave as a free agent in two years. The Bucks aren't winning a championship during the next two seasons with or without Kyrie. Add a superstar (who you have under control through 2026) to a team with Giannis and now you're cooking.

Let's move on ... whatever ... our forum is split on Kyrie "lovers", Kyrie "haters" and Middleton "lovers".
We discussed it enough, nobody can change my mind on Kyrie, no stats, no advanced stats, not anything.
I know what I saw. Kyrie is an excellent pair with a player like Lebron, won a championship being the closer.
My prediction is that both Kyrie (wherever he lands) and Giannis will have an MVP candidate year.
And yes they can win it all next year. If Giannis and Kyrie wins the East and advance to the Finals, the Durant-Giannis and Curry-Kyrie battles will be epic.

Don't really see why this would be written in ink.

If its in a vacuum, this works the other way in my eyes.

I would easily give up Middleton straight up for Kyrie and Giannis would love us for it. Who says Middleton will be here after his deal is up? Giannis would kill for another star level talent I am sure.

The problem I have is you have a lets call a 9 or 10 offensive player and a 3 or 4 defensively. Middleton is maybe a 7 or something on both ends. So easy yes on that.

Then the talk is to add another 2 way player in Brogdon. Lets say he also is a 7 on both ends. Now the deal starts to go sideways in my eyes. Add Maker? No way. Add a pick? Sure, but not that plus Brogdon.

Now, if do all that, perhaps Giannis isn't so pleased. Maybe he is, maybe he wants another star as badly as Boston apparently does.

In the video game world, sure you could keep him. In the real world with his personality and clear motivations to head to a major market to be the man.. no chance.

It is about 99% likely he’d leave IMO. Unless you can find some top tier talent at the Arts to keep him in town? Kyrie isn’t the kind of guy to stay in Milwaukee, he has no attachment here, wasnt drafted by us, and we already have an alpha dog. 2 years of this guy is not worth trading away assets for. Now the pick would be at least 7 years of contribution. While you say #5 pick.. it’s more likely its any of the top 3 than the #4 or #5 pick, so that’s being disingenuous, call it 3 for average value. If you look at this upcoming draft, it’s loaded at the top.

Just an aside Luka Doncic is the #5 guy on a few mock drafts. I’d take it over Kyrie. Especially a Euro to team with Giannis who has huge upside. I’d take that over 2 years of Kyrie, all day. #1 is Porter Jr. #2 is Bagley #3 is Ayton #4 is Bamba as a consensus right now... some have Bridges sliding into the top 5 too. I’d be very happy with any of the top 5 guys, knowing that other guys will emerge this season as well. Ayton or Bamba would allow Thon to slide to a stretch 4, similar to KG in Minnesota, can’t lose there either.

Has someone shared yet their opinion on how it would be good for our team to trade away positive assets to acquire a pick that is going to turn into an 18 year old when Giannis has 4 years left on his contract? Don't think I've seen that argument yet.

Again, it's time to **** or get off the pot.
