Are the bucks better with Middleton and his contract or with Brogdon and his?
Also, should they have traded him before getting to the point of either losing him for nothing or overpaying him massively?

Yes, the Bucks should have traded Middleton when they held the best record in the NBA at the trade deadline :banghead:

They should've traded him during last offseason. I still find it hard to believe the Bucks couldn't have cobbled together a package (featuring Middleton) that could've landed them Kawhi. And if not Kawhi, someone else. I'm confident they could've gotten someone better and cheaper.

In late June, Nike Inc. officially released its first signature shoe and apparel line for Milwaukee Bucks star and reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo.

So far, it's been a huge success for the Beaverton, Oregon-based company.

Earlier this week, Nike CEO Mark Parker said Antetokounmpo's shoe, the Nike Air Zoom Freak 1, became the largest initial signature launch in Nike Basketball history. Parker also said Antetokounmpo's apparel line "sold out quickly" and the Freak T-shirt became the top-selling apparel item on Nike.com.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

But imagine if he was in a big market!

So is it true? Were there concerns he was going to Lakers?

I actually think he was at Best Buy today. Not sure if we should be concerned though. Might have just needed a phone charger or something.

Not sure which tread to post this under. I'm sure it's been discussed before.

How good is Alex Antetokounmpo? Occasionally I'll see an article about how he's the next big thing, but I don't see him on any top 100 lists. Anyone see him play?

As far as I can tell he only has offers from UWGB and Ohio at this point with interest from Wisconsin, Iowa, Tulane and Bradley. So, I can't imagine he's that great of a prospect.

Yeah. That's all I could find too. I don't think we appreciate enough how hard is to make it into D1 bball, let alone the league. Here's to hoping he overcomes the odds and makes it.

I can attest to the apparel problem.

I was in NYC in August and I went to that giant 3 story NBA store. Of course wasn't expecting tons of bucks stuff, but considering they had an MVP and made it to the ECF, was hoping to find bucks apparel.

There wasn't much at all.

Besides the super expensive game jerseys, they had nothing fir Giannis, no t-shirt jerseys no sweatshirts nothing, nada. All sold out.

They had some women clothes, so my daughter picked up a Giannis T and I think a bucks sweatshirt.

At first I was annoyed... I'm going to the biggest NBA store in the world and can't find a damn thing for Milwaukee or Giannis (besides those $300 game jerseys or whatever they cost). Meanwhile tons of celtics and bulls stuff every corner. I felt the whole, (disrespecting Milwaukee, inferiority complex seeping in)... And then I was like.... U know what... Giannis is such a dang global icon, and these tourists are NBA fans from all over the world in this store, I'm sure they just can't keep up with demand.

So all these lists have come out with Giannis usually number one, from the big media sites.

And it's weird, coz now I'm just kinda like.... Ya.. Ok... #1 or #2 or #3... Sure.. Whatever. Feels good of course, but it's not really important to me anymore.

It's so so different then just a couple years ago, we can look back at this very thread from back then, and see the angst and endless debates, and hopes, and reaches that Giannis SHOULD BE TOP 5, or a little further back, GIANNIS SHOULD BE TOP 10, THIS IS A TRAVESTY!

It's all so meaningless now. Back then we knew we had potentially the best player in the world, and we knew he was a top player in the league, not far from the absolute best. And we really really really wanted that recognition, and it was really important, especially while the team floundered in that 5 to 8 seed race.

And here we are, there's no debate, no celebration, no 30pgs on the comparison on why this player should be ranked.... It doesn't matter.

Our eyes are on a prize so much bigger now.

Korver might be earning his paycheck in the offseason more than the regular season and playoffs. Him helping Giannis on his 3's might make him more valuable than anything he does on the court.

I wonder how much of it is their non-traditional background. Kostas would've been an above-average senior but between being ineligible and leaving early, it ended up not being worth it for Dayton.(Maybe I'm overly hyping Kostas, but his athleticism and 4 years of college coaching would've made him one of the better defenders at most schools).

Alexis got here a little earlier, but no idea how much going to a foreign school impacted his eligibility.

It's dumb but this does look good to me. This is what all his shots off the catch should look like.

Not surprised. I posted earlier in the summer that Giannis gear was all over LA. It was crazy.

Giannis' legs look stronger to me.
