No I'm dead serious. Why watch if you despise the characters to the point where you want something to cause it all to instantly end? Lol I must be misinterpreting what you mean because it seems crazy to me to keep watching something you feel that strongly against. The equivalent of the gas leak causing the massive explosion and making it all stop and go away is you changing the channel.

Lol help me understand? Are there certain characters you want to see in this explosion? If so, then saying "they all" threw me off. Are you saying seeing their demise would be the payoff you are hoping for that would make it worth continuing to watch?

I agree with you. And I'm still watching it. I am an idiot, I understand. Marty is the only remotely likeable character to me which is why I said what I said.

I've been told by people whose opinion I respect that it's a really good show I just have trouble liking any of these characters.

And the gas leak scenario would be much more satisfying for me than the channel change. :)
This is a relatively new development in TV but there have been a TON of these shows where there is simply no characters to root for.

If you are going to go that route you better at least be compelling though. And that's where a lot of these lose me. Walter White wasn't a hero but he was damn sure compelling.

That's the show I keep comparing Ozark to in my mind. And I agree 100%. I like Marty Byrde and find him mildly interesting, but Walter White kept Breaking Bad together in a much bigger way.

Haha I got ya, I know what you mean about following a show that you aren't fully feeling but there's enough positive feedback from people with opinions that you respect, so you keep pushing on. That's actually how I was about The Wire initially. I re-started it a few times because I was bored with it off the bat, but it got raved about so much that I just had to keep coming back to it. Now it's one of my top 3 favorite shows and I'm on season 5 of my 4th full re-watch.

You aren't an idiot, sorry if that's how I came off, not my intention!

That's not how it came off. I know I'm an idiot in this instance. I can't help myself.

The second season is the most entertaining TV I've seen since Banshee went off the air.

Johnny Rico was an idiot. Dizzy was hotter than Carmen.

At first blush, I agreed with Jake...but... What's hotter than professing your love after getting stabbed 6 times by an arachnid?

Plus we get to see Dizzy topless... with not even a sexy outfit from Carmen.

The right answer is probably Johnny Rico is the hottest.

Diz was an obvious freak in the sheets. Carmen would probably lay there like a dead fish and fantasize about piloting a space freighter.

Didn't realize he was an LA cop after his acting days. Was shot five times while chasing a suspect.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

American Experience’s “Influenza of 1918“ is a pretty astounding watch right now. Made in 1998. Some of the parallels are surreal. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed Waco last night; I binged it. Great display of power and ego by both sides.

Last dance was terrific. I loved seeing Jordan’s personality in the raw, especially the recent Jordan. The dude is wired different.
I admit to being a terrible judge of talent and having minimal knowledge of the game of basketball.

Finished Devs, don't know how I feel about it. Seems like a weirdo version of Fringe and S.H.I.E.L.D s4. I'm not a fan of Soniya Mizuno but I liked the rest of the cast.
