I'm riding out the airlines and travel industry stocks for the next 12 months with no plans to sell. I got in two weeks ago when the market last pulled back. The COVID rates are really improving which is great news. The concern would be a variant that is uncontrollable. These stocks have lagged and have good upside. I also like real estate, and own REIT stocks like WRE, which pays a fat dividend. I wished I owned some crypto-related stocks. I'm watching the Reddit stocks, but mainly to short any huge run ups that should not last on poor fundamental stocks. I like ALLT as well, and am diversified in other sectors.

Yeah, so many Bitcoin stocks going up insanely.

The head of the show this week was $SOS.

$CAN, $HUTMF, $ARBKF doing great as well.

From somebody who doesn't really understand blockchain + Crypto, I think it's better for me to just put a little in BTC + ETH instead of trying to chase these momentum plays. Especially, since I plan to hodl.

Decided to go with $MSOS for my weed play. It's an actively managed ETF that focuses on US MSOs. I think it's the safest play instead of trying to follow the cannibis industry myself.

If you plan to hodl, buy $Link.

Now that the AMC hype is done I'm thinking about buying some as a long term play. Especially if it dips to $5
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

One year ago today it was trading at 7.10. Netflix existed. The pandemic had “kind of” started.

I think 7-8. Is pretty reasonable target for next year.

100% the strategy to do. I used to mine ETH back in 2017/2018. Stopped and left a decent chunk of money on various coins that were major (Litecoin, BTC, Bitcoin Cash, ETH, etc.) and it's paid off nicely.

Any reason to buy LINK instead of buying more ETH for a guy like me?

Bitcoin consumes 'more electricity than Argentina'

Too bad Bitcoin is the crypto trendsetter. Beyond the environmental impact, ASIC miners are often allocated lots of chips in a way that contribute to shortages and price gouging for people who actually want to use the hardware. Can't wait for a less wasteful, more secure currency to overtake it, tbh.

Yup, I'd be very happy making 40-60% in a year if I can get in at 5.

Do we see people going back to theaters though? don't get me wrong, I used to love it. But I practically have an at-home theater and enjoy just as much now.

It's gonna be a 2 year recover at least.

I think once things get back to "normal" there will be a big spike in theater business as people will just want to get out and do stuff. But after that I agree, I think people are quite happy watching movies at home for the most part. Personally I'll always like seeing new releases in a theater. If the current Warner/HBO Max deal goes wider that's a game changer. I don't go to AMC theaters but locally Marcus theaters have done a good job trying to stay relevant, recliners, in theater bars and restaurants, etc...

Ethereum 2.0 is supposedly going to cut its energy consumption by 99%.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I was hoping it would dip this morning but it went the other way, up to 6 before a slight pullback. I have a limit order in at $5.25

The whole pump and dump reddit scene caused me to go up 77% YTD and back down to 9% YTD. I kind of want normalcy back.

Same. I'm trying to take advantage of these pumps because it's easy money. But at the same time, I want to get back to my plan.

Pennystocks are basically free money atm. Easy 30% gains from any up-voted Reddit penny stock.

Lot of people who left Robinhood are buying OTC now.

And we still are supposed to get our 1400 stimulus so I think this can go on for another month.

I ended up selling off my airline stuff a few months back, with the intent I would re-enter at some point. The thing that I didn't like, the share price never really bottomed out the way it should have. Operating losses in the billions every quarter, felt like it had another dip coming but never happened the way I thought it would or should.

At the end of January I bought both United and Air Canada stocks, which were trading below 50% of the their price right before the pandemic. The COVID numbers have fallen by a lot since the vaccine roll out so I think tickets sales wil get much better as people start planning their back logged trips, get vaccinated, and use the next stimulus money coming.

Airlines revenue will soar. A lot of pent up travel demand. I know I'm planning some trips for the second half of the year. But it is crazy how well some of them have done anyway. Southwest bottomed out in May last year and has steadily risen since then.

So I agree, I don't think airlines went as low as they should have and I think the eventual revenue boost is already factored in to a degree. I'm watching them but I haven't been comfortable buying into any of them.
