DJ Wilson is probably the only piece that the Bucks realistically will move this season. If that is the case what would be the ideal player/greatest position of need to get in return? DJW does not hold much value so the return will be limited and the Bucks will probably need to attach a SRP or 2 for a player of value.

My wish list would be rim protection, so guys like McGee and Noel seem to fit, unfortunately they do not space the floor which limits their minutes and effectiveness in the playoffs, but it would be better than an empty roster spot which is what DJW seems to be at this point.

A high IQ player like Garrett Temple would be a welcome addition as well, he can guard multiple spots and handle spot PG duties.

Zach Collins seems like a boom or bust option, he may not play this year and has been a walking injury for Portland but he could be a long term solution at center next to Giannis, or at the very least a great 2 way rotational player. Financially the Bucks would have to send out one of the Rookies or Craig with DJW and SRP to make the deal work but it may be a win for both teams. Portland could get a look at DJW for the rest of the year on their injury riddled team. Bucks swap a non contributing Wilson with the hopes that Collins can play this year and help them in the playoffs off the bench. If it works out, they move Brook freeing up money to possibly resign Portis and Collins next season.

My question is, why won't Bud let Donte be great (and score 20 points at least once)? Nwora might get 20 before Donte.

What's our interest level in Bjelica? And how much trade value do we think he has as an ending contract?

Kings were at least willing to take on DJ Wilson's contract before fwiw.

"That is for sure going to happen," said Zach Lowe of a possible Bjelica trade on his podcast published Wednesday. "That's clearly a 'We're just going to probably put on ice until we trade you' kind of thing."

Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee also indicated a trade of Bjelica will likely occur at some point.

"This has been the subject of some confusion and a little mystery, but the bottom line is Bjelica would welcome a trade and the Kings are quietly working on it," wrote Anderson.

I can’t see the Bucks and Kings making a deal, let alone with Bogdon’s agent once again in the mix.

I’d say the odds of a Bjelica deal happening are slim to none

One of Forbes, Thanasis or Craig will have to be added to DJW to make it work.

Should be high, and his play, or lack-thereof has driven his value down. Not ideal as far as numbers are concerned.

Wilson+Thanasis+Craig for Bjelica

otherwise you'd have to ship out Lopez.

I’d expect something small. Like a DJ Wilson and a 2nd for Dorian Finney Smith type trade.

How about Lopez for Bjelica + Holmes and then DJW + SRP for Dorian Finney-Smith

Holiday - DJA - Merrill
DDV - Pat - Forbes
Middleton - Finney-Smith - Nwora
Giannis - Bjelica - Craig - Thanasis
Holmes - Portis

Really don't think Dallas would trade DFS for DJW + 2nd. Everything I've heard and read says they really value DFS.

I'd take Bjelica but please no Brook, Giannis, Bjelica lineups like they tried with Mirotic in 2019 end of year and playoffs. Which might've cost them winning that series vs Tor.

Could add Spurs to the deal to take Lopez and send Gay to SAC along with a pick?

They're a rebuilding franchise with a 21 year old who they selected with the 2nd overall pick in the NBA draft. If you were in that position do you think a 34 year old Rudy Gay and 2nd gets it done? No way. They're invested. I know I certainly was with Jabari along with many others here. Even as horrifying as Jabari was defensively, even after ACL tears, if someone came knocking with Lopez, Wilson, Rudy Gay, and spare picks? We would have flamed that offer off the board.

SAC isn't doing better than a salary dump and picks for Bagley.

Wilson+Thanasis+Craig for Bjelica

Numbers aren't ideal but seem close enough that if we are really targeting Bjelica you'd hope we could figure it out.

Wilson + Forbes also works according to TradeNBA if that's right. I have a hard time seeing us trading Thanasis.

If we trade Augustin or Pat to the Kings or elsewhere that'd be another way to go about it without shipping it Lopez too.

POR has zero interest in this deal.

POR is very invested in ZC and view him as a core piece, right or wrong, and will take more than a handful of weak assets to change that.
