All of a sudden he was ice cold. At least he had that. Hopefully the spell is over with this series.

I find it hard to give him credit just because I was shocked he made them. Isn't that a classic case of benefitting from setting the bar so low? It wouldn't have been so close in the first place if only he had shot just a little below average all series, instead of being an unmitigated disaster. Heck, there might not even have been a game 7 in the first place.

He was shocking offensively but he did get mauled at the rim and he's as much a rhythm player as anyone in the league. What I found more surprising is his lackluster D on KD. Yes, he's small, but he repeatedly got beat by the KD spin move in the post towards the base line, which is one of the few moves he can actually impact by cutting him off.

He’s just playing tentatively because he’s deferring to Giannis and Middleton.

He’s by far our best passer. He needs to be initiating the offense more often. Get him comfortable in that role and we will get the best out of him.

My main gripe re: Bud was how many possessions we did the “four out” and one of GA, Mids, Jrue went one on one. That was our attack, >80% of the time. When we ran actions that forced the defense off their spots, made hi-low passes, screened off the ball, etc we appeared to score very easily. I’m not a “call a play every possession guy” and I understand Bud’s philosophy. But Jrue should have been used to initiate more actions, Brook should have been used in the high post to facilitate a bit, I think much of their poor offensive production came from all the iso’s we attacked with.

Re-watching game 7, he made a series of big plays down the stretch on offense. He made a 3 to make it 96-94 after Durant's And-1. Beautiful pass to Middleton for a 3 right after Harden's miracle bank to cut the lead to 2 again. Pocket pass assist to Giannis to tie the game at 101, then makes the 3 after Giannis' FT miss to give us the lead at 104-101. Hits a baseline jumper next possession to give us a 3 point lead again. Then hits a FT next possession to put us up 2.

Just an incredible turnaround and we needed every bit of it.

I don't think the exact dates have been announced other than game 1 and 7.

Jrue should be able to score at will on Trae Young. And I hope tiring Trae out is part of the gameplan.

He really has to be the x-factor in this series on both ends of the court. I expect an all-Defense type performance against Trae, and Middleton isn't gonna play like prime Ray Allen forever, so you're gonna need him to pick up the scoring load at times.

They should run post up plays on Trae for Holiday. Bud, for whatever reason, doesn't like to go after specific matchups. Im hoping Jrue attacks him relentlessly.
