I think that is quite apparent.

In no way are the bucks constructed similar to golden state, but they just won a championship starting two awful offensive players that can't shoot. Blanket statements are typically wrong.

Lol. This is a disingenuous post. Looney and Green aren’t wings.

What about that team that won the World Series with the DH who couldn't field?

Putting a guy who is inept on one end isn’t going to work. It doesn’t matter how great he is on defense if he’s a liability as a shooter who is going to allow defenses to pack it in even more than they already do against us.

That's what you said. You never said wing.

All you have done is repeat your unabashed love of Wendell Moore over and over. At some point it gets a bit old, and doesn't add anything to the conversation about the player we drafted.

For posterity's sake, let it be known that Liddell or Moore would have been my pick.
But I don't think that Beauchamp is a terrible choice.

When we picked Thon, I wanted Sabonis, but Skal was my second choice and he's never been a consistent NBA player (I think he was pretty good in Europe last season).

Yeah I mean I didn’t think explanation was needed in that I was talking about wings, but cool.

I haven’t said Beauchamp is a terrible choice either. I’m just not enamored by the pick.

Draymond is NOT an awful offensive player. Their offense runs through him a lot of the time.

I'm warming on the pick. My hesitation with him was not the shooting at all, but the playmaking, ballhandling and decision making as a 21 year old. But seeing these interviews both with him and his coach eases those worries a bit.

DJ Wilson had a little brother?

This guy is gonna order pizzas and get the best weed around like a champ.

Shoulda tried to trade up for Malaki.

I love that the chasing centers rumor we put out there was just a smokescreen. We could have moved up to 14, but we obviously didn't want the old school centers

Watching some videos, he reminds me a lot of Luc Richard M'Bah a Moute defensively, and I thought Luc was one of the best defensive players in the league when he was with the Bucks. When MarJon moves his feet and gets his body in position to cut a guy off, he doesn't just slow the guy down, he stops him cold because of his lower body strength. You add in the long arms and you have someone who can potentially smother people off the dribble just like Luc used to do.

I was surprised he didn't really have a defensive rep until this year because of how much he jumped out to me, but it makes sense when you watch the video with coach Hart. Until his stint in the G-League last year, MarJon played like a superstar type player on every team he was on. With the Ignite, Hart said they ran no plays for him and that he focused on defense and playing off the ball and running the break.

His shooting form doesn't look bad to me, so if he can even become a somewhat respectable three point shooter he could have value as a rookie if the defense translates. I really like the pick in the 20's.

If another team picked him, more people here would be higher on him. The Bucks took him, so people automatically expect him to bust. Our track record isn't so great.

Understand that where we are picking it is impossible to get a complete player. I like the length and the defensive aspect of his game , but reading the scouting report doesn't give ma a lot of confidence in the pick. Was hoping for some shooting , passing and dribbling. Love a effort guy , just wanted a higher IQ player . hopefully the scouting report is wrong and with a little coaching he will be fine. As much as we like defense we could sure use some secondary scoring .

I did zero research, but my gut is feeling really good about this pick. I eat lots of ferments and kefir so take that for what it's worth.

Just watched Rise and it brought all the feels, so now I’m on the Beauchamp train.

I’m saving this for my flight to Europe next week. Don’t care if it’s bad; I’m excited to watch.
