Brandon Ingram would be such a phenomenal get for the bucks.

I also tend to think he could be available - anytime a player flashes superstar upside just to follow that up with a season that doesn’t meet expectations seems like an opportunity for a team like us.

I wouldn’t be surprised if New Orleans undervalues him, and doesn’t properly appreciate that he’s prime Khris Middleton.

Nah, two awesome play-making/scoring big wings flanked next to Giannis? I'd then even be fine doing that previously proposed Quickley overpay and just roll with those 4 guys and start collecting rings for the next half decade.

But with no Jrue, or any guard on the roster who would be a lead guard....where would the Bucks be? That's the bigger issue there. The IQ move is a separate issue.

I agree, I would love to add BI to the current roster....but who the hell would be the lead guard on this team without Jrue?

I just hope, and pray, that with Griff/Stotts new offensive scheme that Jrue will not the one we're pointing the finger at as the issue

This is a fun one.

Jalen green comes to mind.

What's the deal with Houston and Jalen Green?

Rockets are sending their 2024 first to OKC (unless it's 1-4) which no doubt is inspiring their win now push.

Still you wouldn't think they'd value Jrue so highly at his age. However they just gave out crazy contracts, tried to sign BroLo for a haul, Ime would love him, and Jrue would be a great compliment to FVV.

Building on SupremeHustle's idea am wondering whether there's a multi-team trade scenario to get Dame in particular.

I mean, who's the only lead guard on Miami right now sans a Dame trade? 38-year old Kyle Lowry? If I get a core of Middleton/Ingram/Giannis to build around this year and next, just give me any rotation level PG that can be had with limited assets/cap resources. Those 3 are taking up all the play-making/ball-handling duties anyways. They can figure it out.

See, I see two dudes with below-average handles in those three and a likely distaster of ball-handling

With other moves/trades I would love the idea of adding BI to Khris and Giannis...but as a straight up single move, it would be awful.

Been off the board for a while.......but what's the consensus on Lavine? Empty stats guy, or undervalued star?

Jalen green comes to mind.

Plenty of interesting options with how you approach the question. A one for one swap in a vacuum, or the primary piece coming back with additional assets.

Sticking with the one for one idea though, but with players I think are better than green: jalen Williams, mr. hip extension velocity, maxey

I think you trade jrue for anyone other than dame and giannis will be pissed. He loves jrue n midds and personalky i think he rold horst he wanted this core back.If bucks are competitive amd get to the finals which i think they absolutely can giannis will stay.JMO

I think he may love Jrue, The Man, but I'm tired of pretending I don't think a lot of this Giannis stuff is about Jrue. Dots I'm connecting:

-- First round loss to Miami. Jrue gets absolutely cooked by Jimmy. Viral clips of him being crossed over and taken to the rim by Duncan Robinson. Shoots 10-30 in the last two games of the series. Looks slow, heavy.
-- Giannis comes out and says he wanted to guard Jimmy but coach wanted Jrue on him.
-- Bud is fired.
-- Brad Beal rumors. Leak comes out that Khris would absolutely not be involved.
-- AG hired. Giannis signs off on the hiring. Khris is involved in the process. No mention of 21.
-- Khris re-signed.
-- Old interview with Jrue goes viral where he talks about retiring at the end of his current contract, spending more time with family.
-- Giannis gives an interview with the Times, talks about everybody being on the same page, focused on winning rings to the detriment of their personal/family lives.
-- Giannis posts a bunch of pictures in the Bucks' practice facility, some with Khris (where's Jrue?), gives another interview where he talks about the importance of being fully dedicated to winning.

Probably some stuff I'm forgetting. It's all circumstantial, of course. I just think Giannis wants Jrue moved, probably for Dame, but probably for anybody who'd 1) not cause us to take a step back, and 2) live in the gym with him.

FWIW I don't really see why Ingram would be available, and New Orleans has zero incentive to help us get better and have Giannis sign that next extension.

I mean, I could see why he'd be made available for the right price....especially after his less-than-stellar performance with the US team

Wouldn't be shocked if this were the case.

With caveat that it'd need to be for a win now upgrade. Idk if Beal even would have been that, but Giannis might think so.

Seems clear Giannis would prefer Dame vs Jrue.

Question then becomes whether there is actually a path for us to get him, and whether it's true or not, Giannis amping up the pressure right now while Lillard is still available would explain the tact.

I think a Jrue-Dame trade has to be a 3-team deal with the Knicks making a lot of sense as a 3rd team because Jrue is tailor-made for Thibs. Something along these lines would I think be the non-picks portion of the trade:

Portland in: RJ Barrett, Evan Fournier
Milwaukee in: Dame
New York in: Jrue and Grayson

I don't think you could make the picks package enticing enough for Portland for that to be the deal and they'd probably insist on Marjon as well.

If this is a Jrue thing then we should move Jrue. This isn't that hard. He's a great player who has value.

I'd really love to see how TyTy could work as the lead ball handler with Jrue, Khris, Giannis, and Brook. I could actually see it work pretty well.

Giannis needs to look in the mirror here horst has done pretty much everything giannis has wanted probsbly even fired bud to make giannis happy but if mr mvp doesnt go 12-25 from the line in a 2 point loss in game 5 its goung 6 games n who knows whats going to happen.Horst is trying to win

Zero chance I'd give up a first for Sexton. Yuck.

If I'm onto something, the decision to trade Jrue isn't hard, and we could get a haul, but getting the *right* haul would be challenging.
