Plyo is the most difficult workout to get through. You will walk like a fool for a few days after it. You'll love the results when your on the basketball court though.

I just started doing the Insanity workouts a couple days ago. I'm just trying to loose some weight and get in better shape. The first day which is like a 30 min intro was pretty tough and I needed to take a lot of breaks. Today my third day was the first time that I made it through without taking any significant breaks. I just hope I stick with it though, it's easy to get myself to do it on the weekends but idk how motivated I will be after getting home from work. Tomorrow will be an important day for me.

As for the workout itself, Insanity is just a lot of intense cardio shuffled between 30 second water breaks and stretching, they normally last for about 40 minutes. I'm a newbie to exercise videos but I really like the layout of the videos. I haven't had any trouble with my knees at all but I am in my early 20's. Actually I haven't been sore at all after the workouts.

UWM,

you must be in pretty good shape or everyone else I talked to exaggerated the hell out of Insanity. A lot of people I talked to said they threw up after the first workout. I didn't imagine it would be that hard but I am in pretty good shape myself and I am only 19. As for staying motivated, you really just gotta make yourself do it. Most of the time when you feel too tired to do it, you get a lot of energy back once you actually start. Just don't give up and think of the results you will be seeing if you stick with it.

Yeah...finished plyo. Pretty brutal. Nothing I haven't put myself through though...but it has been a long time since I've pushed myself that hard.

Thanks for the tips :D I just got done with the 4th day, it was nice and easy and mostly stretching. 5th day seems like a beast though, once I get that one done I should be motivated to do anything.

Decided to give P90x a try a few weeks ago after I posted here.

The plyo workout is by far my favorite one in the entire series so far.

Wednesday is my plyo day. Even though I've changed things up by adding P90X+ and Tony's One on One workouts I still always do plyo once a week. I have Tony's One on One plyo too but I prefer the P90X one.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

does anyone else find the Kenpo workout to not be very challenging? I decided to give it a few weeks but I think starting with this week I am going to replace it with something else.

Start by getting some weighted gloves for Kenpo. I have 3 pound ones. That will really increase the workout. Then add ankle weights. And if you still want more, get a weighted vest.

Depends on your goals. Good for fast twitch muscle fibers, used when sprinting or lifting. I'd strongly recommend for any athlete to be honest. Plain creatine monohydrate, the fancy, expensive ones are not necessary. 5g with water daily. (no need to load like some recommend) Can be taken at any time(not really necessary pre or post workout), it's effective due to it saturating in the muscles over time.

All great ideas Mickey, especially since I already have the equipment for that.

Get a foam roller! **** is amazing! I used to walk funny for days after squatting but now I have literally no soreness. It's basically a deep tissue massage, for free.

Tony's One on One Medicine Ball Core Cardio is a good workout. It's short though, only about 18 minutes. I either do it twice or I do it once after Kenpo.

Did Tony's One on One "Just Arms" this morning. Killer. Nothing but biceps, triceps and forearms. Over and over.

Hmm, seems odd that you only did arm work in a title that says "Just Arms."
