I won't be surprised to see Dalembert on the floor with either Sanders or Udoh in stretches. There are plenty of minutes for all 3 guys and I think it's a reasonable expectation for either Sanders or Udoh to earn some minutes from an aged Dalembert. I think Dalembert will have a Kurt Thomas Effect on this team.

I'd like to have Ersan, but the price will be too high. Who are we kidding? No way in hell is Ers worth $8-$9M+ per year. Between him, Moute and Gooden that is way too much money for a mediocre PF rotation.

Again, boils back down to Drew **** Gooden.

Gooden is going nowhere, only big who can knock down a jumper.....Gooden is not to valuable to get rid of....

Thinking about it for awhile, you guys are right. This trade is not bad. I'm disappointed to lose a nice young player in Leuer and to move down, but it's only 2 spots and Dalembert is still pretty good. That's the key difference between this trade and Hammond's previous trades for vets. Dalembert can still play. I still think it's the wrong direction in general but this is not a bad move in isolation, unless Leuer develops more than any of us think he will.

I'm OK with the trade, not jumping up and down for joy, but it may help incrementaly.....

At least Hammond kind of solved a problem that's existed for a while.... Now the Bucks have a backup center - three of them too. Dalembert, Sanders, & Udoh. Guys who are good enough to be real backup 5's on good teams.

Now, all the Bucks need is a starting Center.....

In 22 minutes on good efficiency? I doubt it. I hate the fact that we're going win-now as much as you do, but that doesn't negate the fact that this is a good trade from a value perspective. Not seeing your logic, I just think it's clouded by your distaste for the direction we're going. I get and understand that completely, but that doesn't mean that all of a sudden Dalembert is a **** player. He is a rock solid center, and we got him for moving back 2 spots. He is expiring and this hopefully means no Kaman/Zeller/Leonard.

Very good reasonable - even try and bend and see the other sides perspective- well said.

What very well might be attractive to new ownership is a lot of cap room and no toxic contracts, perhaps this would be the most positive outcome with having tons of cap room next year. If you also consider the fact the GM and coach are up after next season, perhaps Herbie is thinking of selling.

[/quote]Enjoy Dalembert 23 minutes a game. :D Everything does depend on the other guys.

When I think about it, who on our roster now other than Jr. and Brandon when he's hot can space the floor? This could be a really bad jump shooting team like two years ago where we just brick everything.

We could really use a pure shooter in the draft.

That's the idea. And we don't spend $$$ on a long contract.

I love Ersan too, but it's time for us to pass and let him play wherever he wants.

We need to gamble for a star. Drafting a 3pt specialist is a waste.

So why not Jeremy Lamb to satisfy both desires?

One big injury to BJ or Ellis the Bucks are in the tank whether they like it or not.
Hammond improved the team for next year and added a asset in Dalembert over Leuer/Brockman.
14 likely has as much value as 12 tomorrow night. I see nothing not to like about the deal no matter how you look at it considering Dalembert has a very reasonable contract.

Who do you think has star potential at 14?

I don't want a specialist, but a guy who can really stroke it among other things (Terrence Ross)

Trade Monta to get Ross/Lamb, draft Sullinger at 14?

If we still draft Henson/Zeller/Leonard I wish very bad things for Kohl and co. Very bad things.
